초ㆍ중등 영재학생들이 지각하는 영재상담 실태 및 요구

국문 초록

본 연구는 최근의 영재교육 패러다임 전환에 기반 해 영재학생을 위한 포괄적 차원의 차별화된 재능계발 지원 체제 마련을 위한 기초연구로서 초ㆍ중등영재학생들이 지각하는 영재상담 실태 및 요구를 조사하기 위해 수행되었다. A시교육청 관내 영재교육기관에 재학 중인 초ㆍ중등 영재교육대상자 461명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였고 학교 급과 성별에 따른 차이를 분석하였다. 연구결과 영재학생들 중의 상당수가 영재상담 경험이 없었고(89.6%) 영재교육대상자들을 위한 차별화된 상담적 지원이 필요함에 높은 공감(67.9%)을 나타냈다. 또한 영재학생들은 필요한 상담프로그램으로서 개인에 맞는 진로적성(62.5%), 자신의 영재성 이해(44.5%), 학습향상(43.4%)과 친구관계 개선(21.7%) 프로그램 등의 순으로 높은 선호도를 보였다. 본 연구의 결과는 현대 영재교육에서의 상담적 지원이 단순한 보조적 도움의 수준이 아니라, 영재성의 발현 및 성취 자체에 근본적으로 기여하는 중요한 필수요소로서 간주되고 영재학생들의 개인적 특성에 대한 '차별화된 이해'와 '재능계발' 실현을 위한 구체적이고 전문적인 '영재성 발달' 지원체제로서 설계 운영될 필요가 있음을 시사한다.

영문 초록

As basic study to prepare support system of distinct gift development in comprehensive dimension for gifted students on the basis of recent conversion of talent education paradigm, this study was performed to investigate the present situation and requirement for talent counsel perceived by gifted students in the primary and middle school. Survey by question was performed to 461 primary & middle school students of talent education who are attending talent education in the district of education office in A city and the difference by school grade & gender is analyzed. According to study, a good number of gifted students do not experience talent counsel(89.6%) and they sympathize with the necessity of counsel for objects of talent education(67.9%). Further, the gifted students prefer counsel program in the order of aptitude for course(62.5%), understanding talent(44.5%), improvement of learning(43.4%) and better relation with friends(21.7%). The result of this study suggests that counsel support for contemporary talent education is not considered as simple auxiliary assistance, but as significant requirement which basically contributes to the revelation and accomplishment of talent itself and it should be designed and operated as support system for development of specific and specialized talent to realize 'distinct understanding' and incarnation of 'talent development' for individual property of gifted students.
