국문 초록

본고는 유몽인이 저술한 <於于野譚>에 나타나는 여성 삶의 성격과 의미를 밝히는 것을 목적으로 한다. <於于野譚>에는 여성 삶이 중심제재이거나 중요 요소로 등장하는 서사체가 30여 편 실려 있다. 매우 다양한 여성 삶을 제시하고 있는 이들 자료는, 주체적 삶의 전개, 남성위주 제도의 문제 해결, 탁월한 능력 발휘, 윤리적 타락상, 유교 이념 구현 등으로 나누어 그 성격을 파악할 수 있다. 유몽인은 여성 삶을 형상화하는 데 있어서 보다 현실에 밀착한 사실성을 추구하는 특성을 보이고 있다. 많은 서사체에서 실제 사실이나 현실의 여성 삶의 문제를 다루고 있으며, 초현실적 요소는 전혀 나타나지 않고 비현실적인 요소도 찾아보기 힘들다. 유몽인은 남성이나 지배계층의 입장에서 여성의 행위를 수용하기 어려울 때는 본 서사내용과는 달리 평설에서는 남성 중심적인 시각의 가치관을 나타낸다. 이같이 서사내용과 평설 사이에 상이한 여성인식을 드러내는 한계를 보인다. 그러나 중요한 것은 중심 서사과제로 주체적이고 적극적이거나 탁월한 능력의 여성을 부각시키고 있으며, 여성 삶의 문제점을 드러내 보이고 있다는 점이다. 연구자료에서 제일 두드러진 특성은 주체적이며 능동적으로 자신의 삶을 실현하거나 탁월한 기량을 보여주는 인물이 가장 많다는 점이다. 그리하여 역사 속에 내재하는 여성의 역량과 잠재적 가능성을 보여주고 있다. 또 어우는 조정의 고위관료를 지냈던 집권사대부로서 비교적 객관적 관점에서 여성 삶의 실상과 진실에 접근하고자 애쓴 것으로 생각된다. 자료 편수에 비해, 전 계층의 여성인물을 대상으로 매우 다채로운 성격의 여성 삶을 형상화하고 있다. 논의 결과는 초기 야담집에 나타나는 여성 삶 형상화의 성격과 여성인식을 밝히는 의의를 지닐 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

This thesis was written for analyzing the character and the meaning of women's life in . Various women's life is showed in the narratives. They separate and analyze the character of women's life as the development of independent life and solving the problem of the system which is focused on male, making out great achievement, and the state of moral corruption. shows the feature that pursues the reality very close to the fact. there is quite a lot of description that expresses the actual state or the problem of women in reality. We can find different recognition of women between the narrative and the author's comment. If it is difficult for the author to accept the behavior of women from the male or the rulling classes' point of view, he underestimate the life of women who are written in the story and express the opinion which is focused on the men. The important thing is, however, the core of the piece is to bring the women who is fairly independent and who has the outstanding ability into relief. Also makes a public disclosure of the problem of women's life. The woman who are expressed in the pieces show great ability or very active and independent aspect who achieve great success through their lives and these notable feature shows the women's probability of success in social life and their latent force. describes various style of women's life. And that is because the effort of Yu mongin who wants to describe the reality and truth of women's life in fairly objective point of view.
