사설시조의 중층성과 욕망의 언어

국문 초록

본고는 사설시조 시학과 담당층 인식론 사이의 관련양상을 바탕으로 성 소재 사설시조의 의미를 추론하는 데 목적을 두었다. 논의의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 근대로의 이행기가 보여주는 인식소를 탐색하고, 그것이 사설시조를 배태하고 성장시킨 도정과 도달점에 대해 시학적 고찰을 하였다. 사설시조에서 보이는 열거 내지 반복의 표현방식은, 그를 통하여 의도적으로 유사성을 확보하려는 시도가 필요해졌다는 인식론적 지평의 변화를 반영한다. 또한 반전의 구조로써 이제까지 진행되어 온 담론과 앞으로 진행될 담론 사이의 차이를 드러내고자 하였다. 결국 언어와 사물 사이의 유사성을 부정하며 차이를 드러내고자 하면서도 여전히 유사성을 담보하는 중층성을 보인 것이 사설시조였다. 둘째, 사설시조의 중층성을 바탕으로 성 소재 사설시조의 해석방향을 재점검하였다. 유사성의 시대에 이어 재현의 시대가 마지막 경계를 향해 나아갈 때 발견되는 현상들을 살피고 그 의미를 찾았다. 근대의 출발은 재현이 욕망으로 대치되는 지점에서부터이며, 그 문지방에 놓인 것이 사드의 작품들이었다. 성 소재 사설시조들은 마치 사드의 작품들이 그러한 것처럼 재현과 욕망의 경계에 서 있었다. 사드적인 욕망이 근대의 출발과 관련되어 있는 반면, 여성적 연민과 배려는 탈근대와 관련될 것이다. 사설시조는 재현의 시학을 지향한 경우, 재현과 욕망의 경계에 선 경우, 가부장적 욕망을 드러낸 경우, 욕망을 통해 타인을 배려하는 경우 등 다양하였다.

영문 초록

The aim of this paper is to reason the meaning of sex-mattered Saseol-Sijo with a grounding in relations between Saseol-Sijo's Poetics and charge group's epistemology. The results are as follows. First, I inquire the épistémè of Ihaenggi(이행기, the shift stage) to Modern Age, and poetic-study the process and arrival where it has born and nursed Saseol-Sijo. An expression of enumeration or repetition seen in Saseoi-Sijo reflexes the change of cognitional horizon that it is necessary to make some efforts to secure the resemblance intentionally. Also, it tries to reveal the difference between a prior discourse and a next discourse with the structure of reversal. Saseol-Sijo shows the complexity that denies a resemblance in one hand and keeps it up as before in the other hand. Second, I reappraise the sex-mattered Saseol-Sijo's interpretation-direction with a grounding in its complexity. When the Representation Stage arrives at its border line, a representation is replaced with a desire. It is Sade's works that is laid on the threshold. Sex-mattered Saseol-Sijo lays on the border line between representation and desire as Sade's work. Sadistic desire is connected with the start of Modern Age, on the other side, feminine compassion and consideration with free-from-Modernity. Saseol-Sijo shows various aspects; a case that orients the poetics of representation, a case that lays on the border line between a representation and a desire, a case that reveals patriarchy systemic desire, a case that compass the other human via a desire.
