국문 초록

본 연구는 초ㆍ중ㆍ고등학교 601명 학생들을 대상으로 괴롭힘 주변인의 행동과 감사, 공감, 학교소속감 사이의 관계에 대해 분석하였다. 연구결과 감사, 공감, 학교소속감은 주변인(동조자, 방관자, 방어자)의 유형에 따라 차이가 있었다. 방어자는 방관자와 동조자에 비해 감사, 인지적 공감, 정의적 공감 및 학교소속감의 정도가 높았다. 주변인의 유형별 행동에 영향을 미치는 변인을 분석한 결과 동조자와 방관자의 경우 정의, 인지적 공감 및 학교소속감이 부적인 영향을 미친 반면, 방어자의 경우 감사와 정의적 공감 및 학교소속감이 정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다. 또한 동조자, 방관자 및 방어자의 유형을 예측하는 변인을 분석한 결과 특히 정의적 공감이 3가지 유형을 차별적으로 예측하는 유의미한 요인으로 확인되었다. 본 연구의 결과를 바탕으로 괴롭힘 주변인에 영향을 미치는 감사, 공감 및 학교소속감을 활용한 교육적 문제 해결방법을 논의하였다.

영문 초록

The current study examined the relations between bystanders' behavioral reactions to bullying, gratitude, empathy, and a sense of school belonging by investigating 601 elementary, middle, and highschool students. The findings are as in the following. Gratitude, empathy, a sense of school belonging showed a difference in terms of bystander roles(followers, outsiders and defenders). Defenders' gratitude, emotional empathy, cognitive empathy, and a sense of school belonging was higher than outsiders and followers. It was found that cognitive, emotional empathy and school belonging influenced negatively on the followrs' and outsiders' reactions, while gratitude, emotional empathy, and school belonging influenced positive on the defenders' reactions. In addition, emotional empathy was identified as a significant factor discriminating three bystander groups respectively. Implications for effective educational strategies addressing school bullying in terms of bystander was discussed and suggested based on the results.
