국문 초록

개혁주의 전통 혹은 그 신앙과 신학은 다양한 관점에서 여러 가지로 정의되어 왔다. 가장 현저한 개혁주의의 특징은 신구약을 하나님의 오류가 없는 말씀으로 여기고 그 실체를 중보자 그리스도에서 찾는 언약신학에서 찾을 수 있다. 개혁주의 언약신학은 말씀의 상호성과 함께 조건성을 부각시키기는 하되 오직 그 공로는 모든 의를 다 이루신 그리스도의 순종에서 찾는다. 이는 구속사적-구원론적 원리에 기초해 있다. 즉 역사상 자신의 의를 다 이루신 중보자 그리스도가 계속적 중보 가운데 자신의 의를 전가해 주신다는 오직 은혜, 전적 은혜 교리가 중심에 위치한다. 칼빈은 속죄론을 다루면서 하나님의 사랑과 그리스도의 공로가 언약의 두 축이라는 사실을 강조하였다. 개혁주의의 “하나의 근본원리”는 곧 성경이다. “언약”은 성경 자체를 전체로 함의하는 개념이다. 그러므로 개혁주의를 언약신학으로 특정할 때, 그것은 “sola Scriptura”의 원리를 되새기는 것과 다름이 없다. 본고는 이러한 기초 가운데 개혁신학의 특징으로서 성경의 성령 영감, 삼위일체 하나님의 존재와 경륜, 중보자 그리스도의 위격적 연합 교리, 그리스도의 의를 전가하시는 보혜사 성령의 사역, 전적타락과 전적은혜, 율법과 복음의 역동적 이해, 교회의 본질과 표지, 그리고 은혜의 방편으로서의 말씀과 성례를 다룬다. 그리고 현재 한국 개혁주의가 서 있는 자리를 특히 웨스트민스터 신앙고백서에 비추어 논구한다.

영문 초록

Reformed heritage or its faith and theology has been defined in various perspectives. We can find one of its most outstanding features in the covenant theology, which regards the Old and New Testaments as the infallible revelation of God and finds their substance in Christ the Mediator. Reformed covenant theology emphasizes the conditionality as well as the mutuality of divine ordinations but seeks every merit and righteousness from the active and passive obediences of Christ. In no way can this be investigated without based on the salvation-historical and redemptive perspective. In other words, it should center on the principles of sola gratia and tota gratia, that is on the irresistible grace of Christ the Mediator who fulfilled all the merits on the cross for us and for our salvation and is still working as the only Mediator for the believers. In the same vein, for example, Calvin highlights the fact that the love of God and the grace of Christ are two main props of divine covenantal providences. When the Reformed tradition is defined as the single formula of sola Scriptura, it denotes a kind of overarching principle ruling over the whole realm of the kingdom of God revealed in this world. From this point of view, this paper pursues as significant Reformed characteristics the Biblical inspiration, the being and work of the Trinity, the hypostatic union of Christ the Mediator, the work of the Holy Spirit to impute Christ’s righteousness to us, total depravity and total grace, the Word and Sacraments as means of grace, finally the place we stand in the light of Westminster Confession.
