황해도 진오기굿의 연행 구조

국문 초록

이 글은 황해도 진오기굿의 구조를 다룬 글이다. 본격적으로 연구가 많이 되지 않은 황해도 진오기굿을 대상으로 연행 방식 및 의미를 살핀 것은 성과이다. 특히 1980년대에 조사되어 이번에 공간된 자료를 대상으로 했다는 점에서 앞으로 진오기굿 연구의 초석이 되기를 희망한다. 최근 제대로 된 황해도 진오기굿을 보기 어려운 현실과 전통적인 황해도굿을 연행하는 만신이 점차 사라지고 있는 현실을 감안할 때 과거에 제대로 조사된 자료에 대한 접근은 앞으로도 계속 필요하다. 황해도 진오기굿의 장단이 단순하게 음악으로만 존재하는 것이 아니라 나름의 기능을 가지고 있음을 제시한 것, 쑹거장단이 특유의 의미망을 가진다는 것, <시왕제석거리>가 황해도 진오기굿의 핵심적인 거리가 된다는 것 등을 밝혀 진오기굿의 다양한 특성을 규명했다. 개별 굿거리의 구성과 장단이 밀접하게 연결되어 각 굿거리마다 공통된 구조를 가지고 있음을 밝힌 것은 굿의 구조를 좀더 정밀하게 따져볼 필요성을 제기한다. 하지만 이 글은 실제 현장을 보지 않고 조사된 자료를 대상으로 하였기 때문에 굿의 세부적인 상황을 보다 상세하게 반영하지 않은 것은 한계이다.

영문 초록

This study addresses the structure of Jinogi Gut. Studying performance methods and meaning of Jinogi Gut of Hwanghae-do itself, which has not been studied in earnest is already the outcome of this study. In particular, the fact that this study is based on materials that were studied in the 1980 s and issued recently would make this study serve as the foundation of future Jinogi Gut study. Considering reality that it is hard to see proper Jinogi Gut of Hwanghae-do these days and keeping in mind the fact that a female shaman who performed traditional Hwanghae-do Gut gradually disappeared, it would be necessary to access to data that were studied properly in the past. This study clarifies that beats of Jinogi Gut of Hwanghae-do not only exits as music, but also have functions in their way. In addition, this study suggests various characteristics of Jinogi Gut including the fact that Ssunggeo beats have their unique semantic network and the fact that is the main Geori of Jinogi Gut of Hwanghae-do. Furthermore, this study clarifies the fact that structure and rhythm of individual Gut Geori are closely connected, having a common structure in each Gut Geori, and suggests necessity of studying a structure of Gut in depth. However, this study could not reflect detailed situation of Gut since it was conducted based on studied materials, not on real site of Gut.
