<金仙覺>의 소설사적 전통과 <구운몽>

국문 초록

본고는 <금선각(金仙覺)>의 소설사적 전통에 주목하였다. <금선각>은 <장풍운전>의 한문본이다. <장풍운전>은 국문으로 된 판각본 영웅소설로 대중적인 성향의 소설을 지칭하는 반면, <금선각>은 한문 필사본으로 지식인을 중심으로 한 개별적인 소통 방식을 가진 작품을 뜻한다. 이런 점에서 <금선각>의 발굴은 새로운 단계에서 소설사적 전통을 논의해야 될 필요성을 제기한다. 본고는 외형적 측면에서 <금선각>과 <구운몽>의 특징을 살폈다. <금선각>은 표제의 지향과 의미, 장회의 형식과 분리 방식, 삽입시가를 비롯한 다양한 문예문, 삽화 등의 여러 측면에서 <구운몽>과 닮았다. 하지만, 인물의 형상이나, 동일한 모티프를 통해서 지향하는 바는 일정한 거리를 보였다. 예컨대, <구운몽>의 양소유는 풍류재자로서, 인간세상에서 가장 풍류로운 삶을 살다가 그 삶에 회의를 느끼고 다시 연화도량의 청정(淸淨)한 삶으로 회귀하는 구성에 적합한 인물 형상이다. 반면, <금선각>의 두영은 절박한 삶을 살아가는 인물이다. 그는 '가족의 재회'와 '가족의 재구성'에 삶의 절대적 가치를 두고 있다. 이런 점에서 <금선각>은 외형적 측면에서는 <구운몽>과 닮았으나, 주제적 측면에서는 일정한 거리가 있다. 이것은 <금선각>이 형태적 측면에서는 <구운몽>의 문학적 전통을 수용하였지만, 주제사적인 측면에서는 <구운몽>의 문학적 전통이 변용된 결과라 하겠다.

영문 초록

This paper focuses on novelistic tradition of . For , there is a difference between studying as Chinese version of and studying itself. Because normally stands for a woodblock-printed book hero fiction, however means a Chinese manuscript. This means it is not an official popular novel, but communication of individual work unit by an intellectual. In this regard, finding causes a need for discussing novelistic tradition at new stage. Most of all, characteristics of and in terms of outward forms have been discussed. In terms of outward forms including intention and meaning of the title, the type and seperation way of Janghoe, various aspects of literatures such as insertion poetry and motif, are very similar to . However, there is difference when it comes to image of the character, and what it aims with the same motifs. For example, Yangsoyu in is a clever man of taste, and someone fits to the structure of going back to the clean life after being skeptical by living a tasteful life in human world. On the other hand, Doyoung in is characterized as a person who has a desperate life, unlike Yangsoyu. Absolute value of his life was on "Family reunion" and "reconstruction of the family". Thus, is very smilar to when it comes to outward forms, but there is a distance when it comes to thematic aspect. This shows that accepted literary tradition of for morphological aspect, but when it comes to the thematic aspect, it is a result of literary tradition transformation of .
