노인의 성역할 태도와 부부적응에 관한 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 노인의 인구학적 변수와 생활주기에 따라 변화하는 성역할 태도가 노부부의 부부적응을 어느 정도 설명하고 예측하는가를 살펴봄으로써 인생의 마지막 단계에서 생활만족의 가장 기본이 되는 부부관계를 알아보고자 하였다. 조사대상은 광주.전남에 거주하고 있는 383명의 노인이며 수집된 자료는 SAS PC+ 프로그램을 이용하여 분석을 하였다. 본 연구결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1) 노인의 성역할 태도는 총점 15.2점으로 중앙치인 16점보다 다소 낮은 점수를 나타내어 전통적인 경향을 나타내었다. 그리고 성별로 구분하여 살펴볼 때 여자노인의 성역할 태도 점수는 16.4점으로 남자노인의 성역할 태도 점수인 14.2점보다 더 높아 더 근대적임을 알 수 있었다. 한편 노인의 부부적응의 정도는 32.8점으로 중앙치인 30점보다 더 높게 나타나 노인의 부부적응의 정도는 비교적 높다고 할 수 있다. 역시 성별로 구분해 볼 때 남자노인의 경우는 33.9점 이었으며 여자노인의 경우는 31.6점으로 나타나 남자노인의 부부적응 정도가 더 높았다. 2) 노인의 성역할 태도는 연령(p<.001), 건강상태(p<.001), 교육수준(p<.01), 가족상황(p<.05)에 따라 집단간에 의의 있는 차이를 보였다. 그리고 부부적응의 정도는 경제상태(p<.001), 사회활동의 정도(p<.001), 교육수준(p<.001), 건강상태(p<.01), 가족상황(p<.05)에 따라 각 집단간에 의의있는 차이를 보였다. 3) 노인의 성역할 태도에 대한 배경변인의 영향력은 성별(-0.37), 교육수준(0.29), 건강상태(0.32), 가족상황(0.15)의 순으로 나타났으며 이들의 설명력은 19%이었다. 그리고 노인의 부부적응에 대한 배경변인의 상대적인 영향력은 사회활동의 정도(0.24), 성별(-0.26), 경제상태(0.18), 성역할 태도(0.05), 가족상황(0.11), 연령(-0.09)의 순으로 나타났으며 이들의 설명력은 21%이었다. 4) 노인의 성역할 태도가 근대적일수록 부부적응의 정도는 높아지나 이의 영향력은 미미한 것으로 나타났다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relational between elderly person's sex-role attitude and their marital adjustment. For this purpose, a questionnaire was surveyed 383 elderly persons living in Kwangju and Jounnam. The collected data were analyzed by using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, ANOVA and stepwise regression analysis. The results of this research were as follows ; First, The total points of the elderly person's sex-role attitude score was 15.2, which was represented traditional trends. And the total points of the elderly person's marital adjustment score was 32.8, which was higher than the median 30. Second, Elderly person's sex-role attitude score was meaningful differences according to economic state, social activity, education level, health state, family situation. Third, As the results of regression analysis, it was shown that the highest influencing variable on their sex-role attitude was the sex, education level, health state, family situation. All of them explained 19% of their sex-role attitude. And it was shown that the highest influencing variable on their marital adjustment was the social activity, sex, economic state, sex-role attitude, family situation, age. All of them explained 21% of their marital adjustment. Fourth, Marital adjustment was relatively when elderly person's sex-role attitude was modern.
