부자가정 청소년들의 생애과정에서 나타난 양육과정의 변화 재구성

국문 초록

본 연구는 청소년기에 접어든 이혼가정 청소년들이 부모의 이혼이라는 가족해체의 경험을 자신의 삶 속에서 어떻게 구성하는지를 생애사적 관점에서 이해하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 서울과 경기 지역에 거주하는 이혼가정 청소년 6명을 대상으로 슛제의 즉흥 이야기식 인터뷰를 실시하여 자료수집을 하였으며, 슛제의 4단계 이야기 분석방법으로 분석하였다. 이후 양육과정에 대한 연구자들의 연구 관심사를 구축하고, 양육과정의 변화에서 진행곡선을 살펴볼 수 있는 부자가정 여자 청소년들 3사례를 다시 선정하여 심도 있게 분석(Eckfall Analysis)하였다. 부모의 이혼으로 일차적으로 부자가정이 형성되지만, 부자가정에 대한 실질적인 돌봄의 형태는 조부모 혹은 친인척에 의해 제공되고 있음을 발견하였다. 재구성 결과, 양육과정의 변화는 양육자의 변화와 맞물리는 사건으로, 양육자에 따라 달라지는 기준, 규범, 가치의 척도들 속에서 자녀들은 보편적 규범 취득의 취약함과 주양육자와의 낮은 상호작용 속에서 제공받는 지지가 결여되어 있음을 발견하였다. 이에 양육자의 변화가 갖는 의미를 개인의 생애발달 측면에서 살펴보았다. 또한 조부모 혹은 친인척들이 부모의 역할을 대신하여 자녀양육을 담당하고 있었는데, 이에 부자가정에서 조손가정･친인척가정으로 변화하는 양육과정에서 살펴 볼 수 있는 한국의 가족문화를 재조명하였다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 논의점 및 함의를 제시하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to understand how adolescents, with divorced parents, construct the experience of the disintegration of the family from the biographical point of view. To this end, the data collection for this study was carried out using Schütze’s narrative interview targeting six adolescents living in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province and the collected data was analyzed according to Schütze’s 4 steps of narrative analysis. The specific research interest of this study is constructed on the basis of the parenting process found in the biographies of adolescents from single father families, of which 3 cases that such characteristics were seen were selected and Eckfall analysis was performed. Parents’ divorce is decided upon by the parents’, but it is a life event that affects the lives of the entire family with children experiencing the divorce passively. Consequently, after the parents divorce, the father gains custody of the children and as a result single father families are formed. However, the actual caring of the children is undertaken by the grandparents or kinship. In this article, we examine the biographies of adolescents to draw out the meaning this change in parenting process has on their biographical development. Moreover, we further review the Korean family culture within this changing phenomenon.
