국문 초록

체아우셰스쿠 독재정권에서 시행된 지식인 통제사업인 '작은 문화혁명'은 저항문학을 표방하는 지식인-작가의 실질생활에 불이익을 주는 차원이 아니라 육체와 정신을 황폐화시켜 저항의지를 꺾고자 진행되었다. '선험적 사색사업'은 '작은 문화혁명'의 일환으로 해당자가 아니면 극비에 부쳐져 진행사항을 전혀 알 수 없었으며, 그 피해 상황도 정확하게 파악되지 않았다. 독재정권에 대항하여 작가들의 바리케이드 역할을 한 루마니아 작가협회는 재정지원이 끊기고 규정이 강제로 수정되고 협회활동을 통제 당하지만 독재정권의 이데올로기에 편승하거나 비밀경찰의 수하로 남지 않았다. '80년대 세대' 출신의 작가들은 '독점적인 사회주의 체제의 생산품'이라고 불렸음에도 불구하고 정치체제에 순응하지 않았다. 대표작가로는 현재 루마니아 문학의 선두주자인 미르체아 커르터레스쿠와 2009년 노벨문학상의 주역으로 티미쇼아라의 독일계 '80년대 세대'라 불리는 헤르타 뮐러 등이 있다. 1980년대에 문학적 저항은 주로 시로 표현되었는데, 소설보다는 작가의 문학적 소신을 표현하기 쉽고 정부의 검열에 걸리거나 요주의 인물에 오르지 않을 수 있었다. 아나 블란디아나는 환상소설을 통해 그의 문학적 저항의지를 보여주었다. 환상은 매일매일 단조롭게 반복되는 생활을 벗어나게 하고, 시대의 암울함을 극복하게 하면서 자신의 내면세계를 들여다 볼 수 있게 하였다. 더 나아가 존재성 자각과 정체성을 확립하게 하고, 인간성을 회복할 수 있는 계기를 마련해 주었다. 독재정권에 의해 철저하게 검열당하고 출판을 금지당하는 상황에서 환상은 그 내용물을 포장하고 숨기기에 알맞았다. 즉 환상을 통해서 진실을 표현할 수 있었다. 작가의 환상은 현실성이 강한 환상소설로 초자연적인 현상이나 괴기한 사건, 설명할 수 없는 상황은 사회 전복적 요소와 결합하여 묘사되었다. 1977년의 연작소설집 『사계절: 겨울, 봄, 여름, 가을』과 1982년의 단편소설집 『과거 설계』는 현실성이 강한 환상소설로 작가의 문학적 저항의지가 담겨 정치적 환상성을 띤다. 작가는 환상적 현실성을 어린 시절 부친과의 추억과 그의 죽음, 그리고 작가가 직접 겪은 사건들을 바탕으로 그려냈으며, 타민족의 지배 하에서 발생한 농민봉기와 독재정권에서 일어난 사건들을 소재로 하였다. 현실성이 강한 환상성으로 인해 소설 텍스트를 처음부터 차근차근 집중해서 읽지 않으면 환상의 순간을 놓치거나 혹은 작가가 겪은 일들이나 주변 사람들에 관한 이야기로 구성된 사실주의(혹은 극사실주의) 경향의 소설처럼 보인다. 소설에서 회자되는 사건들은 정말로 일어났었음에도 불구하고 진짜 있었던 일처럼 보이면 보일수록 상상되고 창조된 것이다. 환상은 현실의 반대가 아니라, 현실의 많은 의미로 가득 찬 현상일 뿐이다. 작가의 환상성은 '현실을 허구화'하는 것이며, '현실의 비대화'이다. 작가는 현실을 세밀하고 정교하게 묘사하고, 그 속에 환상성을 침투시켜 '즉각적 비현실'로 넘어간다. 그리고 '마술적 사실주의'와 '환상적 극사실주의'경향을 보인다. 환상의 양상은 주인공이나 등장인물의 고립과 기억의 회복, 그리고 성스럽거나 구원의 존재와의 만남을 통해 나타난다. 또한 사회전복적인 요소를 담으며 정치적 환상성을 띤다. 작가는 작품에 정치성을 의도하지 않았지만 작가의 부친에서 유래되고 등단부터 얽힌 사회주의 정부와 독재정권의 만행과 그 후유증으로 인해 정치성은 그의 작품 전체를 지배하고 있다. 그의 환상소설은 마술적 사실주의 경향을 보이는데, 마술적 사실주의 특징에서 주목할 점은 이 사조가 억압적이고 권위주의적인 독재사회에서 자주 나타나며 정치적으로 매우 위험한 표현이 순화되어 나타난다는 점이다. 텍스트에서 정치적 환상성은 역사적 사건의 사실성과 위협적인 존재나 상황의 등장, 소설 속 화자의 계속되는 질문을 통해 나타난다. 작가는 사회주의 체제하에서 그가 살아가는 세상은 현실이지만, 그것이 악몽이기를 바라며 사물들이 전혀 다르게 있는 또 다른 세상을 기다리고 꿈꾼다. 그리고 루마니아 국민이 자유에 대한 희망을 잃지 않기를 바라는 마음을 환상소설에 담아냈다.

영문 초록

Under dictatorial regime of Ceausescu, 'Mini-cultural revolution', which was devised to suppress the intellectuals of anti-governmental literature, functioned to frustrate the writers by devastating the physical and spiritual status of them. The 'Transcendental meditation Project' by way of 'Mini-cultural revolution' was extremely confidential to the high ranking officials and the severity of victimization was un fathomable. The writer's union shielded the intellectuals from the dictatorship could not get the governmental subsidy and was compelled to revise the covenants was under control of the government, but they did not surrender themselves and cooperate with the regime. The writers of 'Generation 80`' were degraded as the offspring of totalitarian social system, did not comply with the Powers. Nowadays we can say that the front-runners of Rumanian literature are Mircea Cartarescu and Herta Muller of germanish Timisoara who won a Nobel prize in 2009. The poetry was preferred above all as means of literatual resistance in 1980's, because it made it easier for writers to evade the censorship and keep themselves low profile. Ana Blandiana expressed her resistance against dictatorship by way of fantasy novel. Fantasy made it possible for her to escape the tedious daily routines, to overcome the cruel reality and look into herself. Moreover it made for her to undertand the human beings and herself and to recover the humanity. Under dictatorship regime the fantasy is adopted to covert the writer's thought to evade the censorship. Her fantasy was based on real world and the grotesque and inexplicable events implied the upside-down world. The series novel of 1977 『Four season; winter, spring, summer, autumn』 and the collected short novels of 1982 『Past architecture』 showed her political resistance reflected the real world true world. Her fantastic realism depicted her childhood with her father, his death, other experiences of herself, the revolt of the farmers under foreign regime and the several events under dictatorship. Fantasy mixed with realism might perplex the unscrupulous readers and mislead them to consider her works to be surrealism. As though the events seemed to happened in history, the were created by her imagination. The fantasy is not the other side of the real world but it contains the real events. Her fantasy is to make real events fictional and magnify it. She depicts the real world meticulously and penetrate the fantasy into it and transcend to magnified reality. Her works shows also magical-realism and fantastic surrealism. The isolation, the recovery of memories, and encounter with sacred or savior being is of protagonist and the characters were main pattern of her works. Though she denied the political aspect of her works, the experience related with her father and her career under suppressing government lead her into political writer. Her fantasy novel tend to reflect magical realism and but it is remarkable that her tendency to it make her expression refined in her works under totalitarian dictatorship. Political aspect of fantasy in her text reeled itself through historical events, entreating being and ceaseless questioning of the protagonist. She dreamt that the reality under socialism system is nothing but the nightmare. She hoped the Rumanian people not to lose their thirst for freedom in her works.
