국문 초록

본 연구는 기간제 순회교사의 순회교사로서의 경험을 통한 역할 적응 및 수행에 대해 살펴보기 위해 특수교육지원센터에 소속되어 순회교육을 제공하고 있는 기간제 순회교사 16명을 연구참여자로 선정하였다. 본 연구는 기간제 순회교사와의 인터뷰를 통해 순회교사들이 순회교육 현장에서 경험하는 자료를 수집하였다. 수집된 자료들은 근거이론의 개방코딩, 축코딩, 선택코딩을 통해 분석하고 통합되었으며, 최종적으로 순회교육 제공 경험에 대한 패러다임과 핵심범주에 대한 연구결과로 도출되었다. 연구 결과, 기간제 순회교사는 기간제 교사라는 자격과 순회교사를 위한 지원 부족으로 인해 교사로서의 자아정체성과 순회교육의 방향성에 대해 혼란을 경험하고 있었으며, 순회교사로서의 역할 수행에서 어려움과 함께 보람도 경험하고 있었다. 이들은 순회교사에 대한 지원 요구를 통해 순회교사로서의 자질을 향상하고자하였으며, 한편으로는 정규직 교사로의 진로를 다시 모색하기도 하였다. 이러한 결과에 토대해, 기간제 순회교사가 순회교사로서 적응해 가는 유형은 임시 거처형, 장기 유지형, 진로 관망형으로 나타났다. 그리고 기간제 순회교사가 순회교육을 제공하면서 발생된 문제들을 해결해 나가는 과정은 개인 탐색기, 기관 질의기, 주변 탐문기, 자체 개발기로 나타났다.

영문 초록

The study investigated the experiences of itinerant teachers, who worked for Center for Special Education Support, on providing itinerant education. The study included 16 itinerant teachers, and the participants were interviewed regarding their experiences on providing itinerant education. The collected data were analyzed by using open coding, axial coding, selected coding which were the analysis method of grounded theory. As well, paradigm and core categories were figured out regarding the provision of itinerant education. The itinerant teachers experienced a chaotic status due to their position as temporary teachers and lack of support for itinerant teachers. The teachers felt both difficulties and being worthwhile as itinerant teachers. The itinerant teachers tried to transfer to permanent teacher position or request support for itinerant teachers to raise the qualification. Based on the results of the study, the types of adaptation on the experience of itinerant teachers were a temporary resident type, a long-range sustainment type, and a wait-and-see type. The process of the experience of itinerant teachers were the exploring period, the organization inquiry period, the surroundings investigation period, and self-service development period.
