국문 초록

본 연구는 강제적 폭력이 동반되는 학대행위 피해자들의 학습된 무기력과 학대후유증을 치유하고 역량을 강화하는데 있어서 개인 심리적 임파워먼트 실천전략이 어떤 측면에서 유용하며 그 실천과정에서 활용될 수 있는 구성요소들을 살펴보았다. 임파워먼트 모델은 학대피해자들의 인간존엄성과 변화를 이끌어낼 수 있는 본래의 힘을 믿는 인간관점을 가지고 있다. 즉, 학대피해자를 수동적이고 의존적인 존재가 아니라 현재 당면한 문제를 해결하기 위하여 힘을 활용할 수 있으며 계속되는 삶의 과정에서 스스로의 힘으로 독립된 삶을 이끌어가는 역량을 내재한 독립적•자율적•미래지향적인 존재로서 가정한다. 이러한 신념은 임파워먼트 실천과정을 이끄는 전제조건이면서 동시에 실천 목표라고 할 수 있다. 학대피해자에 대한 개인 심리적 임파워먼트 실천은 학대피해자의 주관적이며 심리적인 인식에 초점을 맞추어 개인이 임파워먼트 과정의 경험을 통하여 실제로 파워를 인지적으로 경험할 수 있도록 돕는다. 이를 통하여 학대피해자는 비판적 의식으로 심리적 무력감을 극복하고 자기효능감을 회복하며 자기정체감을 확립할 수 있다. 따라서 사회복지사는 학대피해자를 협력적 동반자로서 참여시켜야 하며 자기결정권한으로 구성한 프로그램을 진행해야한다. 사회복지사는 임파워먼트 실천과정의 단계별로 학대피해자가 선택할 수 있는 대안을 제시하기 위하여 강점을 사정하고 정보를 제공하는 역할을 해야 한다. 학대피해자의 역량강화를 위한 임파워먼트 실천과정을 구성할 때 활용할 수 있는 전략은 대화와 의사소통을 위한 상담기술, 강점사정과 선택가능한 대안구성, 다면적 실천기법의 적용 등이다.

영문 초록

This study examined the useful components in practical strategies of individual psychological empowerment that can heal the learned helplessness and abuse aftereffect by violence and can strengthen the capacity of abuse victims. Empowerment model believe in the power of human and the human dignity of abuse victims which can lead to changes in the original human being. In other words, abuse victims have the power for himself to resolve their own problems and live in the future-oriented life process. This belief is a prerequisite for the process of empowerment practice and a goal of practice The individual psychological empowerment for abuse victims have a focus on the abuse victim's subjective and psychological awareness. It helps abuse victims actually experience their own power in cognition through the experience of empowerment practical process. Through this, abuse victims can overcome the psychological weakness, recovery self-efficacy, and establish self identity. Thus, the social worker should involve a victim of abuse as a collaborative partnership and should configure the program on self-determination rights of abuse victims. Also the social worker should assess the strengths of abuse victims and provide information to abuse victims to choose an alternative in a step-by-step process. The strategies of the empowerment practice process for abuse victims consist of dialogues and communications in counseling skills, strengths assessment, alternative configuration, education, and the application of multi-faceted techniques.
