강원도 다문화가정 학생 멘토링 활동의 실태 분석

국문 초록

본 연구는 강원도 K대학의 대학생 다문화 멘토링 사업을 사례로, 다문화가정 학생을 대상으로 하는 멘토링의 활동 실태를 파악하는데 목적이 있다. 이에 2012년 참여자인 52명의 멘토를 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하여 멘토링 활동의 단계별 자원 분석과 멘토링 활동시간의 산출 요인을 분석하였다. 먼저 단계별 분석 결과， 투입 자원 측면에 서는 K 대학에서의 사전교육이나 가이드북 제공 등이 활동에 큰 도움을 주지못했으며, 멘티 학교에서의 협조가 미흡했다는 것이 나타났으며, 활동 자원 측면에서는 멘토들의 사전 준비 활동이 비교적 잘 이루어진 반면에 멘티의 활동에서 시간 준수 및 지도 순응 정도가 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 또한 멘토링 지역의 거리가 멀어서 활동에 제약을 받거나 활동 중 다양한 문제가 발생했던 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 산출 자원 측면에서는 맨토의 활동시간의 평균이 71.08시간으로, 이를 5점 척도화하면，’0~30시간’ 이 28.8%로 가장 많고 다음 ‘120시간 이상’ 이 25.6%로 맨토링 적정 활동시간이 120시간 내외라는 점에서 90 시간 이하가 63.5%라는 결과는 K 대학의 다문화 멘토링의 산출이 높지 않다는 것과 개인별로 활동시간의 차이가 많다는 것을 알 수 있다. 또한 멘티의 가정 환경, 학습 습관이나 성적 그리고 학교생활이나 교우 관계 등에 대한 이해도도 높지 않은 것으로 나타났다. 이와 같은 저조한 산출의 요인으로는 멘토의 학년, 멘토경험, 멘티의 성별, 맨티의 시간 준수여부, 멘티의 지도 순응여부, 멘티의 약속 준수여부 등인 것으로 나타났다. 이에 이러한 문제점을 보완하고 해결해야 할 사항으로 대학 차원에서의 멘토들의 역량 강화를 위한 지원의 확대, 멘티 학교와 가점에서의 더 많은 협조와 관심, 지원 시스템의 개선, 담당 기관의 관계자들의 지원 확대 및 의식 전환의 필요성 등을 제안하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to research on the actual condition of mentoring program for the students of multicultural families from the example of the mentoring program of 'K' university in Gangwondo. For this. questionnaire survey on fifty two mentors who participated in 2012 mentoring program was conducted and phased resource analysis with mentoring time calculation was analyzed. Phased resource analysis results as follows 1. In terms of the commitment resource, the orientation and guidebook by the 'K university was not helpful for the mentoring program and the cooperation from the mentee school was insufficient, 2. In terms of the activity resource, the activity of the mentees including the adaptation level or the punctuality were not as active as the advance preparation of the mentor's. Also there were lots of problem in mentoring program such as the activity was restricted by the long distance between mentoring places. 3. In terms of the resource calculation, the average mentoring hours are 71.08. In five-point scale, 0~30 hours' was the most as 28,8%, more than 120 hours' was the second as 25.6%. Considering that the standard mentoring activity hours are more than 120 hours' ,This result of the statistics that the less than 90 hours' was 63.5% reveals multicultural mentoring calculation rate of K university is not high and there are much difference in activity how's by individuals, 4. In addition, the degree of understanding about the family background, learning habit, grade, school life and friend relation of mentees was lower than expected, The reason of this result was the school year and the experience of the mentor and the gender, punctuality, adaptation, promise observance of the mantee. To solve this problems, support for strengthening of the mentor ability by the university, cooperation and concern from the school and family of the mentee, reform of supporting system, support of the designated organization and the conversion of awareness is requested.
