국문 초록

본 연구는 한국비교교육학회의 학문적 활동을 통하여 한국에서의 비교교육연구의 성과 과제를 알아보는 데 목적이 있다. 한국비교교육학회는 학회 설립 이후 세계 여러 나라의 교육 정보공유와 국제 교류에 있어서 활발한 활동을 해오고 있다. 특히 비교교육의 연구 능력을 제고하고 교육발전에 기여하고자 세계 여러 나라의 비교교육연구를 수행해 왔다. 한국비교교육학회는 비교교육 관련 학술행사와 학회지 발간을 통하여 많은 비교 교육연구를 장려해 왔다. 그러나 한국에서의 비교교육연구는 특수한 상황과 문제점들을 가지고 있다. 대학 내에 비교교육이 제도적으로 발달하기 어려운 상황이며, 정책 관계자나 학자들에게 명확한 이해를 제공하지 못하고 있다. 따라서 국내 비교교육학 연구의 활성화는 물론, 세계적인 차원에서의 비교교육 연구 활동에 적극적으로 참여하는 노력을 기울여야 할 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this article was to deal with the comparative education research in Korea. It discussed KCES’s(Korean Comparative Education Society) contribution and tasks to the development of comparative education by examining the academic activities of KCES. The KCES has been active in the interchange of global education information among educators around the world. To be specific, the KCES has undertaken comparative research on education around the world with the goal of enhancing the research ability of comparative education and contributing to the development of education. Moreover, the KCES has promoted the hosting of academic conferences and the publication of research papers and academic journals. However, the comparative education research in Korea has its own circumstances and problems. It has been difficult for comparative education to develop institutionally in university systems in Korea, and to be understood clearly by academic world or policy makers. Thus, the KCES has to make efforts to promote the comparative education research in Korea and participate actively on comparative education research on a global dimension.
