국문 초록

대부분의 연구에 따르면 청소년시기에 학교폭력을 저지르는 원인 중 가장 큰 요인이 유년기에 학대를 당한 경험이 있다고 조사되고 있다. 유년기의 학대는 학교폭력을 저지르는 데 있어 중대한 영향력을 미치고 있다. 모든 청소년들 중 학대 경험이 있는 아이들이 반드시 학교폭력 가해자가 되지는 않는다. 이 연구는 학교폭력을 범하는 청소년들과의 상관관계를 통해 부모로부터 유년기에 학대경험의 효과를 입증하는 것에 목적을 두고 있다. 부모로부터 유년기에 학대를 받은 청소년은 자기통제력의 지대한 영향을 끼쳐, 학교폭력을 저지르게 되는 결과를 발생시킨다. 자기통제력은 학교폭력을 저지른 청소년과 부모로부터 학대의 경험 사이에 부분적인 매개효과를 입증하였다. 조사결과를 바탕으로 한 이 연구는 부모, 지역사회, 학교로부터 실질적인 조정방안의 결과에 대해 논의한다.

영문 초록

Much research points out that maltreatment of children is one of the main causes of school violence committed by adolescents. Maltreatment of children has significant influence on those children that commit school violence. Not every adolescent who has experienced maltreatment in his/her childhood becomes an offender and engages in school violence; that is, something works between the maltreatment experience of adolescents and the commission of school violence. This study verified the effect of maltreatment of children by parents in relationship to their committing school violence; and further, verified the mediating effect of self-control. Maltreatment of children by parents resulted in a significant impact on their self-control, which in turn generated significant impact on their committing school violence. It was proven that self-control has a partial mediating effect between the experience of maltreatment by parents and children committing school violence. Based on the research results, this study discussed the implication of practical intervention by parents, community, and school.
