국문 초록

본 연구 논문은 고대교회슬라브어 시기에 새롭게 창제된 최초의 슬라브 문자들이 기호로서 당시의 음성-음운과 어떠한 상관관계를 맺고 있었는가를 연구하는 것이 그 주된 목적이다. 이러한 관점에서 다음의 3가지 연구 小 주제로 연구, 기술되고 있다. 우선 본론의 첫 번째 장에서는 음성과 표기의 불일치 현상이 당시 존재했었는가 여부에 대한 연구이다. 이 장에서는 당시 존재하던 음성과 실제 표기 사이에 일대일 대응관계가 성립되었는지 여부, 소리와 표기 사이의 괴리는 없었는지 여부가 연구되었다. 특히 고대교회슬라브어 Jats에 대한 다각적인 연구로 구성되어 있다. 다음으로 두 번째 장에서는 고대교회슬라브어 바로전 시기인 공통슬라브어 시기에 활발하게 진행되었던 가장 대표적인 음운 현상 인 구개음화 현상을 기호학적 관점에서 조명해 보았다. 특히 1, 2, 3차 구개음화와 그 결과음 그리고 이것의 표기문제 등을 기호학적 관점에서 분석해 보았다. 여기에는 소리와 기호 간의 상관관계, 스타일화 여부 등을 다루었다. 다음으로 본론의 3장에서는 고대슬라브어 당시, 소리와 의미가 어떠한 상관관계가 존재하였는가 여부를 간략하게 연구 기술해 보았다.

영문 초록

This paper aims to investigate the Old church slavonic alphabets and phonological phenomenon from the view point of the semiosis. As it is well known that in the Old church slavonic alphabets, Ѣ(Jats) represented two phonological entities. They are /ě/ and /ja/. These two phonological entities were represented by Ѧ in Glagolitic alphabet and Ѣ in Cyrilic alphabet. Unlike the Latin alphabet, there were sounds in the spoken slavic language and in 863 were created first literary alphabet, Glagolitic alphabet, on the basis of these sounds. After that, by the help of "Styling", Glagolitic alphabet transferred to Cyrilic alphabet in the beginning of 10-11th century. The creating alphabet process, related to palatalized consonants, was same to above mentioned process. On the result of 1, 2, 3rd palatalization, in the slavic spoken world were created many palatalized consonants. They were *č', *ž', *š'. On the basis of these sounds, the old church slavic alphabets were created. They were ч, ж, ш, ц, з, с. So we can make the following process: Sound ⇛ Alphabet. Concerning to the relationship between sound and sign(=Alphabet), we can say that from the influence of the styling on the alphabet, we can investigate the movement or changes of the alphabets. For example, transferring from one alphabet to the other alphabet in the same language.
