재사용 가능 포장용기의 활용이 물류비용에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구

국문 초록

엽근채류 품목을 포장할 때 비교적 저렴한 그물망형태의 포장은 초기비용이 재사용 가능한 재질의 포장용기에 비하여 비용이 적게 소요되지만 통풍이 되지 않고 압상 등에 의하여 제품의 가치하락과 감모손실이 발생하게 된다. 감모손실의 발생은 시장에서 요구하는 수요량을 충족시키기 위하여 감모손실 비율만큼의 물량의 추가구매로 구매비용이 상승하고, 감모손실비율 만큼의 수송량이 증가되며, 폐기물 처리비용이 발생하게 되는 원인이 되어 왔다. 이러한 한계를 극복하기 위하여 본 연구에서는 1회용 그물망 포장 대신 반영구적으로 재사용이 가능한 재질의 포장용기의 사용으로 감모손실의 미발생과 최상의 상품가치 유지, 구매비용 감소, 감모비용 및 처리비용을 최소화 하여 궁극적으로 물류비용을 절감하는데 목적을 두고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 엽근채류의 대표품목인 배추의 유통경로인 산지, 도매유통센터 및 소비지 도매시장을 연결하는 수송단계를 고찰하고 구매비용, 산지, 도매 유통센터와 소비지 도매시장간의 정규수송비용 관계, 포장재에 따른 감모손실 비용 및 폐기물 처리비용에 대한 비용분석을 토대로 물류시스템 합리화를 위한 모형을 개발하였다.

영문 초록

The relatively inexpensive mesh packaging for leaf and root vegetables requires lower initial cost when compared to reusable packaging containers, but induces depreciation of products and loss due to spoilage because it prevents ventilation and causes pressed flaw. Loss due to spoilage causes enhancement of purchasing cost, increase in carloadings to compensate for loss due to spoilage, and cost of waste disposal because additional quantity of product should be purchased to compensate for the loss due to spoilage to satisfy demands in the market. In order to overcome the limitations, the purpose of this study is to ultimately reduce distribution cost by non-inducing loss due to spoilage, maintaining optimal value of products, reducing purchasing cost, and minimizing loss cost and disposal cost via using reusable packaging containers for semipermanent use instead of the disposable mesh packaging. In this context, the author in this study investigated distribution channels of Chinese cabbage as a representative product of leaf and root vegetables, or transportation stages including producing areas, wholesale distribution centers, and consumer wholesale markets, and analyzed costs of purchasing, producing areas, relations of regular transportation costs between wholesale distribution centers and wholesale markets, and costs of loss due to spoilage and waste disposal based on packaging materials, to develop a model for rationalization of distribution system.
