本稿は在朝鮮日本人作家湯浅克衛の小説『カンナニ』を分析したものである。今まで『カンナニ』は日本人の龍二と朝鮮人のカンナニの純愛を描いた作品として論じられてきた。龍二とカンナニは帝国日本と植民地朝鮮のそれぞれの隠喩であるが, 両者は決して敵対的ではなく, むしろ親密な関係を維持していた。特に龍二は朝鮮に来る前は「陸軍大将志望者」であり, 「朝鮮を征服した豊臣秀吉みたいな英雄」になりたがっていた。そして「熱心な総督信者」でもあったのだ。しかし, 龍二はカンナニと出会い, 徐々に親しくなっていくなかで, これらの考えをすべて捨ててしまう。そして朝鮮人社会を理解しようとする。このような龍二の転向は植民治者の温情と理解に基づいた両者(帝国と植民地)の和解を象徴するものでもある。のみならず, 龍二の模範的な態度は「独立を希む朝鮮の人たちの心に胸うたれ, 泣きながら」作品を書いたという作家の告白と二重写しされ, 作品に対する信頼はさらに深まっていった。 しかし, 問題はこのような在朝鮮日本人の告白と作品を素直に受け入れる時に発生する反作用である。言い換えれば, 帝国の治者として植民地朝鮮を体験した作家が最後には植民地を同情し, 彼らの痛みを分かち合うようになったとする理解すると, 在朝鮮日本人のもつ「境界」的な可能性は彼の政治的な選択に圧倒されてしまう。帝国と植民地という二項対立的な枠組みを内破し, また相対化するために在朝鮮日本人の「境界」を援用しながらも, 最後は彼の「良心」の行方に注目すると, また二項対立的なの構造のなかに包攝されてしまう。 本稿で帝国の治者の温情主義を警戒して, 純愛物語のなかに潜んでいる政治的アレゴリーを分析したのもその所以である。龍二とカンナニの恋愛が必ずしも甘ったるくて透明ではない理由や背景, そして両者の亀裂をさらに注意深く考察することは在朝鮮日本人作家湯浅克衛という境界的存在に対する「警戒」でもある。 This paper is analyzing the “Gannanie”’s Katsue Youasa. “Gannanie” until now has been discussed as a work depicting the pure love of Gannanieand Ryuji. Ryuji and Gannanie is the symbol of Imperial Japan and Colonial Korea, respectively. Two people are not a hostile relationship. Ryuji wanted to be an army general before coming to Korea. He wanted to be a hero like Toyotomi Hideyoshi who conquered Korea. However, Ryuji will be friends with Gannanie to abandon the thought of all of these. He tries to understand the Korean society. Conversion of Ryuji, symbolizes that the colonial empire and if there can be reconciliation and understanding kindliness of the empire. Not only, Ryuji were allowed to arouse the conscience of the writer. The writer was impressed by the Korean non-noble independence, and wrote the work while crying. Ryuji and writer has been said is similar to the twins. However, the problem occurs when accepting the confession and works of writer. In other words, if you understand that writers who experienced the colonial Korea as a treatment of the empire at the end is in sympathy a colony, and began to share their pain can be an “boundary” with the Japanese Korean Jae sexual selection would have been overwhelmed by his political.
