영문 초록

It has been found that there was some error in the Baekje kings’ root from late in the Capital Hanseong era (BC.18~AD.475) to early in the Capital Ungjin era (475~538). Such finding made the political dynamics of the Capital Ungjin(熊津) era, a national chaotic age, newly thought of. It was King Dongseong who got enthroned right after such incidents as the being murdered of King Munju and sudden death of King Samgeun. It was known that King Dongseong was the second son of Gonji who established his power in Japan then. It has been already widely known that Gonji established his power in the region of Gawachiasuka. However, the enthronement background of King Dongseong in the existing history explains that he was enthroned by practical determination that he was the right person for growth of Baekje because he was a son of his father’s first wife while King Munyeong was a son of his father’s another wife and he was intellectual and martial enough. King’s enthronement, however, was influenced more by the matter of benefits or loss of his supporters’ group than by the qualification of the candidates of the king. King Dongseong had also resided in the country Oi overseas and been enthroned at his childhood. That was, he was not bright about the domestic situations and not old enough to go on his own way. In addition, Nihonshoki shows that he went back to Baekje in April, 479. Some argued that he killed King Samgeun in November of that year to get enthroned. In fact, however, he came back home country because King Samgeun died before April, 479 and he was enthroned. When he came back home country, however, he met a factor that he could not get coronation right away then. It seemed that the Haes’ remnants and some of former loyal families from Hanseong enthroned another prince of Gonji to resist against King Dongseong’s enthronement. It was November, 479 when he got coronation after defeating such disputes for enthronement.
