영문 초록

The history circles of North Korea had studied Old Chosun systematically since 1945. At that time, the research focused on the center of the site, the territory and people of Old Chosun and the nature of the society. The results of these studies were published in Collections of Discussions on Old Chosun and The Study on Old Chosun. North Korea excavated Tomb of Dangun in 1993. The results showed several new facts which were different from the previous findings about Old Chosun. They newly announce that the center region of Old Chosun is not the region of Liaoning but the region of Pyeongyang. It is concluded that the new studies on Old Chosun can be supported by discussing the different views of scholars on Old Chosun.
