국문 초록

이 글은 최근 시민사회의 주목을 받고 있는 사회적기업의 상황 맥락 검토, 사회적기업의 교육장치에 대한 현상적 탐구, 미래 제언을 통해 평생교육학의 연구 영역을 확장하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 국내외 사회적기업의 현황 및 개별 사례들을 종합적으로 검토하고 이를 평생교육학의 맥락에서 논의했다. 사회적기업 내부에 존재하는 다양한 유형의 교육활동에 주목하여 사회적기업 내의 교육장치를 토대 만들기와 도제식 전수 교육장치, 사회적기업 내부의 획득형 교육장치, 외부 전문 교육기관과의 연계형 교육장치, 조직정체성과 참여형 교육장치 등 네 가지로 나누어 살펴보았다. 후속 연구과제로 사회적기업을 인큐베이팅하는 교육 프로그램과 경로 연구, 사회적기업의 독특한 조직정체성 형성을 위한 교육장치의 형태와 그 작동과정 연구, 사회적기업을 통해 등장한 새로운 형태의 소비와 소비자 학습공동체 연구를 제안했다. 평생교육 연구 영역으로 사회적기업의 탐색은 평생교육학의 이론을 창출하는 터전이 될 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this paper is to investigate 'social enterprise' in terms of its social context, educational phenomenon and the future directions to expand lifelong education research. The author reviews current status and related issues of social enterprise based on the data from latest reports and various case articles. The author discusses four types of educational apparatus in social enterprise: apprenticeship type, acquisition type, networking type, and participation type. Three research areas for the development of social enterprise in terms of lifelong education are suggested. First, many programs are specifically designed to incubate social enterprises and entrepeneurs but evaluation of their content and effect have not been conducted. Also incubating courses of social enterprise in terms of various educational activities can be explored. Second, it is needed to study educational apparatus in constructing organizational identity in social enterprise. Third, some social enterprises work hard to create and sustain communities of consumers, which may shed light on understanding new citizenship in lifelong education research. Exploring social enterprise in the context of lifelong education may contribute to building new theories in lifelong education.
