축제의 현황분석을 통한 축제지원정책의 새로운 방안 제시

국문 초록

한국에서 개최되는 문화예술축제의 성장 배경을 알아보고, 통계자료에 의거하여 한국축제의 현황을 분석하였다. 분석결과를 통해 현재 한국의 축제가 가지는 문제점을 도출하고, 문제에 봉착하여 한국의 축제가 성장이 아닌 답보에 그치고 있는 원인을 파악하여 대안을 제시한다. 올바른 축제의 모델을 제시하여 한국의 축제가 나가야 할 방향을 제시하였다. 문화체육관광부의 축제지원정책이 지역축제 발전에 끼친 영향을 분석하고, 축제 활성화의 모태가 된 축제지원정책을 분석, 나열하였다. 더불어 현재 시행중인 정책의 문제점을 분석하여 한국축제의 질적 향상을 도모함과 동시에 세계적 인 축제로 거듭나기 위한 새로운 정책의 방향을 제시한다. 현재 한국축제의 상태에 부합하는 정책의 제시로 올바른 축제성장을 이끌어 한국의 문화예술을 한 단계 끌어 올리고자 한다.

영문 초록

There are so many local cultural festivals held in Korea. In this report, the historical background and the present status of the festivals is investigated according to the statistical data. Generally, the festivals are known to be at a standstill. The reasons of that is categorized, and the alternatives and directions that can be a desirable model for the future is presented. The 'Festival Support Program's of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST) that is regarded to activate the local festivals are listed and the influences of the programs are considered. The problems of the present support programs are analyzed, and new policy schemes, which is supposed to support the qualitative development of the festivals and to upgrade the local festivals worldwide level, is suggested. It is hoped that the suggested policy can be used for improving the korean local culture and arts through the development of the local cultural festivals.
