수학과 성취도 검사 결과의 자기평가를 통한 오답원인 유형화

국문 초록

본 연구는 고등학교 1학년 수학과 성취도 검사 결과에 대한 학생들의 자기평가 내용을 바탕으로 수학과 성취도 검사에서 오답을 유발하는 원인을 분류하여 유형화 하였다. 학생들이 보고한 오답원인은 총 5가지로 유형화 되었는데 교과지식 관련 유형, 인지과정 관련 유형, 추측전략 관련 유형, 실수/부주의 관련 유형, 피상적 원인 관련 유형으로 구분 할 수 있었고 각 유형별로 하위 요소들이 나타났다. 이 중에서, 추측전략 관련 유형은 기존의 수학과 오류 분석에서는 나타나지 않은 유형이었다. 추출된 오답원인 유형이 학생의 성별과 성취도 수준에 따라 차이를 보이는지 분석한 결과, 여학생들은 남학생들보다 교과지식과 관련된 오답원인을 보고하는 경향이 있으며 남학생들은 여학생들에 비해 피상적 원인을 더 많이 보고 하는 것으로 나타났다. 수학과 성취도 수준에 따라서는 성취도가 높은 학생들에게는 실수/부주의 유형이 성취도 수준이 낮은 학생들에게서는 피상적 원인이 더 많이 나타나는 것으로 분석되었다.

영문 초록

This research classified the reasons of wrong answers in the achievement test of mathematics in high school and analyzed their structure. Students' self-evaluation of the result of achievement test was used for the analysis. There were five types in the reasons for wrong answers. They were subject knowledge related, cognitive process related, guessing strategy related, mistake/negligence related, and meaningless reasons related types. Last type did not answer substantial reasons but just gave superficial reasons such as“did not know”, “was difficult”, “was new”, “got the answer but thought it was wrong”, and so forth. The “guessing strategy” related type was not found in the previous studies but in this study. Group comparisons resulted in two findings. First, male students more likely reported the superficial reasons when they made incorrect answers. Second, students with high level of achievement reported more frequently the “mistake/negligence” related type reasons, while students with low level of achievement did the “meaningless reasons” related type reasons.
