국문 초록

이 논문에서는 현대물리학의 여러 이론 중 자연과학뿐만 아니라 사회과학에도 강한 영향을 끼치고 있는 양자역학이론, 자기조직화 이론, 혼돈이론 등이 교육연구에 어떤 영향을 주고 있는지, 그리고 앞으로 교육연구에 어떤 시사점을 줄 수 있는지를 살펴보았다. 현대물리학 이론을 살펴보면서 이 세계를 설명하는 이론 체계는 하나가 아니라는 것을 알았다. 이 세계는 결정론과 우연, 비합리화 합리, 질서와 혼돈, 이 모든 상반된 것들이 모두 존재한다. 따라서 지금까지의 합리화 논리, 질서와 정확성, 예측과 통제 등의 한쪽 입장에서 벗어나야 한다. 그리고 지금까지의 연속적이고 점진적인 변화보다는 새로운 가정과 전제를 가지고 교육의 문제를 해결하는데 관심을 가져야 할 것이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to review quantum theory, self-organizing theory and chaos theory which have strongly influenced not only social sciences and naturald sciences but also education field, during the last several decades. These modern physics theories have been applied in education field, and it seems that the application will be more prevalent. After reviewing various literatures, several temporary conclusions are made. First, we should be more concerned about qualitative study which rely upon researcher's subjective judgement and interpretation, since the interaction of researcher and research subject are very important factor in social science study. Second, in most quantitative study, the relationship between individual and group have been neglected. From now on, macro-level analysis about collective body and micro-level analysis about individual should be related. The relationship between both sides can only be descrived through researcher's interpretation. Finally, we should accept that all the phenomena in this world cannot be explained in deterministic view only. When we accept that determinism and chance, rationality and irrationality, order and chaos in the same time, we can see this world more clearly.
