국문 초록

지역에 따라 <플루그(plugul)>， <플루굴레츠(plugulet)> 또는 <부하이(buhaiul)>라고도 불리는 <플루그쇼르 (plugsorul)>는 12월 31 일과 1월 1일， 즉 ‘성 바실레(Sf. Vasile) 날의 저녁’ 또는 ‘새해 첫날’을 전후로 한 연말 연초에 집단에 의해 구연되는 대표적인 의식요이자 행위예술이다. 농경을 주제로 의례의 엄숙함과 노동의 즐거움이 혼합되어 있는 <플루그쇼르>는 운문과 제의적 행위로 전승되어 왔다. 의례와 밀접한 관계를 가지며 묘사된 텍스트는 일반적으로 경작 예정지의 선택과 제초작업으로 시작하여 쟁기질， 파종， 수확을 거쳐 밀을 빻고 빵을 굽는 일 그리고 <플루그쇼르>를 영창한 무리에게 답할 사례로 끝을 맺는 농사의 모든 수순이 담겨져 있다. <플루그쇼르>란 용어는 ‘쟁기’를 의미하는 ‘플루그 (plug) ’의 축소형으로 풍요와 비옥함을 기원하는 고대 농경의식으로부터 발달하였다 <플루그쇼르>의 구연에서 연행자 무리가 사용하는 쟁기 또는 쟁기모양의 소품은 색종이， 레이스，꽃 등으로 장식된다 도시나 농촌 할 것 없이 어린이들은 이렇게 준비 된 미니어처 쟁기를 가지고 한해의 풍성함을 기원하지만， 시골의 경우 어른들은 두 마리 또는 네 마리의 소가 끄는 진짜 쟁기를 준비하고 화려하게 치장하는 것이 일반적이다 농경의례， 농사기술에서 쟁기가 갖는 보편적인 기능과 의미의 이연에는 또 다른 모습의 쟁기가 있다. 종교·신화적 측면으로서 쟁기는 남근숭배의 상징을 내포한다. 남근을 상징하는 쟁기와 수태를 의미하는 쟁기질은 가부장적 농경사회에서 궁극적으로 풍요와 다산을 의미할 뿐만 아니라 자연과 인간의 생명이 유기적으로 연관되어 주기적인 순환을 영속시키는 것을 의미하게 된다. 새해 농사축원을 기원하는 행위예술이자 노동요인 <플루그쇼르>는 루마니아인의 공동체 삶과 사회의 유기적 관계를 이해할 수 있는 예술의 복합체이다. 또한 <플루그쇼르>는 근래에 이르기까지 실질적으로 전승 구연되고 있는 민속축제 중 하나로 루마니아인의 삶과 정서를 대변하는 민속학의 실체이기도 하다. <플루그쇼르>는 쟁기나 소 방울， 채 찍과 같은 특성화된 도구를 사용하여 가축과 쟁기질의 박차를 가하고 파종하며 그에 따른 축원과 풍요를 기원하는 예언적인 기능을 가진다. <플루그쇼르>는 풍작과 풍요를 기원하는 기본적이고 외형적 의도 외에도 당시의 특별한 상황과 맞물려 기원된 것으로 고려되는데， 이는 다름 아닌 농경에 무지했던 사람들에게 보다 효율적인 농사를 할 수 있는 예시와 농경 작업의 단계를 지침 하는 편람의 기능， 즉 교육적 의도와 농업기술의 전파에 대한 가치를 가지고 있다. 한 해가 시작되는 성스러운 시기에 선·악의 균형과 농사의 성공 여부에 대해 유머와 웃음， 해학으로 다가간 고대 루마니아인의 지혜가 <플루그쇼르>에 담겨져 있다.

영문 초록

'Plugusorul', called also as 'plugul', 'plugulet', 'buhaiul' depending on regions, is a synthetic art of action, and simultaneously is a ceremonial song interpreted by folk groups between December 31st and January 1st, namely at the evening of St. Vasilius' Day or on the first day of New Year. 'Plugusorul' which is realized by the solemnity of ritual and the pleasure of labor based on agriculture, is transmitted to the form of refined verse and the ceremonial act. The text of 'Plugu~orul' generally includes all kind of procedures of agriculture from the choice of arable land and weeding, through plowing, sowing, harvesting, to milling and baking. The word 'plugu~orul' is the diminutive of 'plug' which means the plough and has connection with the ancient ritual of agriculture pursuing the abundance and fertility. In the oral narration of 'Plugu~orul', the plough or the trifling article similar with plough which will be driven by the orally narrated group, is decorated with colored paper, lace, Dowers etc. Without distinction of town or rural community, the children pray the abundance of the year with this miniature plough, but the adults prepare the real decorated plough connected with two or four bulls. At the back of the plough's function and significance in the ceremony of agriculture and agricultural technique, exists the other feature of the plough. In the religious and mythic aspects, the plough includes a symbol of phallicism. The plough which means the phallus, and the plowing which symbolizes the fecundation, these signify not only the fertilization and abundance in the agricultural society of paterfamilias, but also the permanency of circulation related to the organic connection between human and nature. As the labor song and synthetic art which supplicate the agricultural abundance, 'Plugu~orul' is the complex of art and culture through which people understand the organic relation between the Romanian society and the human's life in community. Besides, 'Plugu~orul' is also the folk substance which analogizes the Romanians' living and feeling, being one of the folk festivals which are inherited practically until nowadays. Using some distinguish tools such like the plough, the bell for cattle, the whip, 'Plugusorul' gives an impetus to the agricultural affairs as the plowing, the seeding and so on. Through these acts, it is possibile to realize the predictable function which prays the abundance of the harvest. With the exception of the fundamental and external aim as the rich harvest, 'Plugusorul' has the other intention as a guideline of the agricultural education for the ignorant peasants, through the text of 'Plugusorul' which describes some methods of agriculture. The ancient Romanian's wisdom and humorous attitude of life about the balance of goodness and badness, the success or failure of agriculture with beginning of the new sacred year, are also expressed in 'PIugusorul'.
