The development of public play in Romania, above all has closely relation with development of Romanian people. The real development of the public play in Romania started from the middle age, but a primitive play already has subsisted from ancient time. The middle age performed various traditional play and customs include dramatic sectors. For example, as mentioned from A Study on the Public Play in Romania (I), Romanian traditional customs such as dramatic sector of incantatory performance, non-religious sectors of winter festival, congratulation poem of wedding, masque, ancient customs relative with agriculture, Căluşari and Vicleim play regard public play in Romania. Indeed, for get to know the origin and composition of public play in Romania do not passing over Colindatul, traditional custom of Romania that song colindă wander about town. Although it is not exactly know about the origin of this custom that has performed at important period of a year it estimated to come down from long time. Also this custom was spread at whole Romania area. And its form various as well as expressed that combine with dance and music as character of the early drama. Generally, village festival has celebrated for thanks and congratulate to important things of a year such as harvesting of the crops, baby birth, marriage and hunting. At first, of course, these ceremonies have a worldly character purely but religious sector permeate at it and the two sectors coexist finally. Since the general character of public play in Romania is a show on tour, the play performs mainly at enter and vacant land within of village, and often performs at detached building used for a reception room for male guests of any home. These performance members perform impromptu for more pleasure of audiences. The contents are mainly satirical. Public play in Romania did not develop throughout the country. Development area of public play in Romania is province of Moldova, especially several area to which locate Bistriţa valley and in addition to province of Moldova of sub-Carpatian mountains, reach from Suceava to Vrancea. But at the province of Muntenia, Oltenia and the other Romanian area its development has a poor than the provinces of mentioned above. The public play that deal with story of chivalrous robbers often describe antagonistic contents about exploitation class. The typical work is Alecu Russo's 『Jignicerul Vadră.』. This work includes a verse that chivalrous robbers against power holders. But progressive contents of the work rouse up strong the aristocracy's resistance, and finally author of the work and players have arrested. The public play in Romania started from various customs was performed at agricultural area, and gradually mixed with mythical and religious sectors. But after time has passed, this has developed by a way of recognition about deny a social justice, especially a way of struggle. In conclusion, inside public play in Romania includes a warlike sector as well as a biting satire and a realistic character.
