형이상학적 지식관과 극복과정의 철학사적 고찰

국문 초록

본 연구는 현 정부 교육정책의 핵심인 ‘경쟁’이 절대불변의 지식을 전제하는 형이상학적 지식관에 입각하고 있다는 전제하에 형이상학적 사고의 한계와 극복의 과정을 철학사(史)적으로 고찰하였다. 아리스토텔레스의 저술 명에서 유래한 형이상학은 현실 세계 너머의 보편타당한 원리를 의미한다.형이상학은 고대에는 이데아의 세계로,중세에는 목적론적 세계관으로 지배 집단의 권력 활용을 정당화하는 근거로 활용되었다.또한 형이상학은 독재자의 논리로,폭력의 정당화 논리로 활용되었다. 형이상학적 사고의 극복을 시도한 근대의 기계론적 세계관,합리론,자유지상주의(초기 자유주의)는 여전히 형이상학적 사고의 틀 속에 머물러 있었다.경험론과 회의론을 토대로 전개된 자유주의의 인간관인 ‘자유의지론’(자유론)도 전통적 인간관인 형이상학적 전제를 공유하고 있었다.자유주의는 형이상학적 존재론․인식론을 극복하기 위해 약자의 보호와 상 호간의 소통을 강조하는 복지적 민주주의를 지향했다.

영문 초록

This study inquires into the limitation and overcoming process of the view of metaphysical knowledge with presupposition that the government’s policies focusing on the capitalistic principles are based on metaphysical thoughts. Metaphysics originated from the Aristotle's prestigious writing has a meaning of universal principle beyond the reality. Metaphysics was often used as a justification tools of the established exemplified as in the“Idea world”in ancient times and the teleological view of the world in medievaltimes.Inaddition,it was also propagandized for worshipping dictator ship and violence. Even though new ideasin modern times such as mechanism,rationalism,and liberalism emerged to over throw the metaphysical thinking,they failed to advance beyond the old paradigm of thoughts. Theories of free will based on background of empiricism and skepticism also shared the metaphysical premises.Liberalism was to overcome the metaphysical ontology and epistemology and further aim to welfare democracy which emphasize the protection of have-nots and mutual communication.
