국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 창의성 교육의 철학적 기저가 John Dewey의 반성적 사고임을 밝히는데 있다. 이를 위해 Dewey의 반성적 사고의 개념과 창의성의 개념, 반성적 사고의 과정과 창의적 사고의 과정, 반성적 사고의 원리와 창의성 교육의 원리와의 관련성을 고찰하였다. 반성적 사고와 창의성의 개념은 두 개념 다 인간 능력 중 지적인 능력을 의미하고 있다는 점과 목적을 달성하기 위한 방향을 제시해 준다는 점에서 유사하다. 반성적 사고 과정과 창의적 사고 과정을 비교해 보면 Wallas의 부화단계와 조명단계는 Dewey의 반성적 사고과정 중 암시의 단계와 추리의 단계와 매우 유사함을 발견할 수 있다. 원리적 측면에서도 창의성 교육의 원리인 창의적 상상력 신장의 원리, 탐구와 사고 존중의 원리, 개방성의 원리, 다양한 경험의 원리는 Dewey의 열린 마음의 원리, 성심성의 원리와 유사하거나 그 영향을 많이 받은 것임을 알 수 있다. 위의 결과는 창의성 교육과 관련하여 다음과 같은 측면에서 의의를 찾을 수 있을 것이다. 첫째, 창의성 교육의 교육철학적인 토대를 규명했다는 점이다. 둘째, 반성적 사고에 기초한 창의성 교육의 여러 과정과 원리들을 규명했다는 점이다.

영문 초록

The aim of this study is to clarify John Dewey's reflective thinking as philosophical basis of creativity education. To achieve the purpose it is discussed that the relationship between the concept of Dewey's reflective thinking and a creativity, the process of reflective thinking and a creative thinking, and the principle of reflective thinking and a creativity education. The concept of the reflective thinking and a creativity are similar in the sense of that both indicate an intellectual human ability and present a direction to achieve an aim. In the comparison of the process of reflective thinking with creativity thinking, the incubation stage and illumination stage of Wallas similar to the reasoning stage of Dewey's reflective thinking. In terms of principles, principle of creativity education which include an enhancement of creative imagination, a respect for exploration and thinking, an openness, and a diverse experiences is similar to Dewey's principle of open mind, whole-heartedness. Result of this study give following suggestion in the creativity education. First, it clarified the fundamentals of creativity education in philosophical aspects. Second, various stages and principle of creativity education were clarified with a basis of the reflective thinking. Finally, two things mentioned above will eventually become a key reference of our educational innovation and its direction.
