국문 초록

  이 연구는 최근 새로운 학습 이론으로 대두 되고 있는 문화역사적 활동이론을 활용한 평생학습도시의 발전 전략을 탐색하고자 수행되었다. 이를 위하여 문화역사적 활동이론의 핵심 개념인 활동 체제의 구성요소로서 주체, 객체, 매개체, 규칙, 공동체, 분업 등을 확인하고, 그 기능들의 활동, 행동, 작용들에 따른 모순 현상을 탐색했다. 문화역사적 활동이론을 통한 평생학습도시 발전 전략은 첫째, 사업추진 주체의 확인과 역할 제고, 둘째, 사업 객체의 규정 및 역할 제고, 셋째, 사업추진의 매개체 확인 및 역할 강화, 넷째, 규칙의 정비 및 활용 강화, 다섯째, 학습도시 공동체 구축 및 활성화, 여섯째, 사업의 분업체제구축, 일곱째, 모순 기제에 의한 학습도시 발전전략제고 등을 제시했다. 결론적으로 평생학습도시 정책이 문화역사적 활동이론의 개념구조를 활용하여 견실하고 정비된 평생교육체제로 구축해 나갈 때, 오늘날 우리가 당면한 평생학습사회, 지식기반시대, 고령 사회를 헤쳐 나갈 수 있는 전략이라고 할 수 있다.

영문 초록

  This study explored strategies for the development of lifelong learning cities using a cultural-historical activity theory. In doing so, elements of activity system in cultural-historical activity theory were identified as subject, object, mediating tools, rules, community, and division of labor, and contradictions according to activity, act, and operation of their function were explored. strategies for building lifelong learning cities using a cultural-historical activity theory are as follow: first, cities should identify and support subjects for leading lifelong learning cities, second, cities should regulate and direct objects of lifelong learning cities, third, cities should identify and reinforce mediation for building lifelong learning cities, fourth, cities should build and activate community for lifelong learning cities, fifth, cities should identify and reinforce division of labor for building lifelong learning cities, and finally, cities should explore strategies for building lifelong learning cities by identifying contradictions occurring in activity systems in cities.
