국문 초록

  사회를 건강하게 만들기 위해서 민주적 거버넌스에서 신뢰는 매우 중요하다. 이러한 맥락에서 이 연구는 자선행위와 신뢰(정부신뢰, 비영리조직 신뢰, 사회 신뢰), 특히 사회자본 이론의 논리에 따라 자선행위와 정부신뢰 사이의 관계에 대한 모형을 개념화하였다. 개념모형을 평가하기 위하여 서울시민을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하여 수집된 자료를 바탕으로 구조모형방정식을 이용하여 가설을 검증하였다.
  실증분석 결과에 따르면, 정부신뢰와 기부의향과는 부의 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 사회신뢰와 비영리조직에 대한 신뢰가 자원봉사활동과 기부행위에 대한 의향을 증대시키는데 중요한 역할을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 더하여, 자원봉사활동의 경험과 기부행위의 경험은 미래의 자선행위 의향을 증대시키는 것으로 나타났다.

영문 초록

  Trust matters in democratic governance to make society healthy. In this context, this study conceptualizes the model of the relationship between philanthropic behavior and trust including trust in government, trust in non-profit organization and social trust, in particular, focusing on the relationship between philanthropic behavior and trust in government. Following the logic of social capital theory, this study constructs the conceptual model. Structural equation modeling is used to evaluate the conceptual model and test hypotheses with a questionnaire survey in Seoul Metropolitan area in Korea.
  Based on the empirical data, this study shows that there is a negative relationship between trust in government and intent of charitable giving. Also, based on the analysis, both social trust and trust in non-profit organization have an important role to increase intent of both volunteering and charitable giving. In addition, experience of volunteering and charitable giving leads to increase intent in the future.
