기술개발공시에 대한 자본시장반응의 결정요인

국문 초록

  연구개발과 기업가치간의 관계에 대한 연구는 주로 연구개발투자의 가치관련성 분석이 중심이 되어 왔다. 그런데 연구개발투자시점은 경제적 효익의 불확실성이 높다는 문제가 대두되어옴에 따라 본 연구는 경제적 효익의 불확실성이 감소된 시점인 기술개발시점에서의 정보공시가 주식시장의 비정상수익률에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다.
  우리나라 증권시장에서 2002년 11월부터 2003년 12월까지의 기간 동안 기술도입, 기술제휴 그리고 기술개발에 대한 공시를 한 103개 기업을 대상으로 공시의 정보효과를 분석한 결과, 기술혁신정보는 공시일과 공시일 이후 기업가치에 유의적인 양(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 특히, 사전절차를 통해 외부로부터 기술을 획득하는 기술도입이나 기술제휴는 독자적인 기술개발에 비해 일부 정보의 사외유출 현상으로 인해 공시일 이전의 정보효과가 발생한다는 것을 보여주었다.
  기술개발공시의 자본시장반응에 대한 결정요인 분석에서는 기술개발공시가 주식가치에 미치는 영향은 시장위험에 반비례하며, 연구개발집약적 산업에 속한 기업일 경우 더욱 크게 나타난다는 것을 실증적으로 검증하였다. 그러나 연구개발지출액의 경우 예상과는 달리 음의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으나 그 원인을 규명하지는 못하였다.

영문 초록

  Technological innovation such as technology development has become a core means to strengthen the competitiveness of firms. So firms make their effort to achieve their technological competitive power and that is one of the critical success factors to determine the firm"s value.
  At this study we examine whether the information release on technological innovation has information contents in the stock market. Along with that, we examine the determinants of market response to the disclosure of technology development. The findings show that the market reacts positively to the information release of technological innovation on the event date and the day before event date. And we find that the firm belongs to intensive Research and Development industry contribute positively to the stock market performances and the market risk of the individual firm is significantly negative in explaining the stock market performance. However, the case of an amount of R&D investment was statistically significant but the result is different from the expectation.
