특수학교 학생의 대학진학 활성화를 위한 교사와 학생의 고등부 교육과정운영 개선 요구

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 시각, 청각, 지체부자유 특수학교 학생들의 대학진학 활성화를 위한 특수학교 고등부 교육과정에서의 대학진학지원 현황과 고등부 교육과정 운영에 대한 교사들의 지원요구 및 학생들의 만족도와 지원요구를 조사하는 것이다. 이를 위해 전국에서 표집된 시각, 청각, 지체부자유 특수학교 33개교의 교육과정 담당교사 33명과 고등부 교사 187명 및 고등부 학생 174명의 질문지 응답자료가 분석되었다. 수집된 자료들은 빈도와 백분율을 산출하거나 평균과 표준편차를 구해 분석하였고, 학생들의 장애유형에 따른 만족도와 지원 요구의 차이 검증을 위해 일원분산분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과 시각, 청각, 지체부자유 특수학교 학생들의 대학진학지원은 미흡하였고, 대학진학 활성화를 위한 교육과정 운영개선에 대해 교사와 학생들은 전반적으로 높은 요구를 보였는데, 학생들의 장애유형에 따른 지원요구는 통계적으로 유의미한 차이를 보였고, 사후분석 결과 시각장애 학생들과 청각장애 학생들 간의 지원요구와 지체부자유 학생들과 청각장애 학생들간의 지원요구가 유의미한 차이률 보였다. 또한 학생들의 만족도는 낮게 나타났으며, 학생들의 장애유형에 따른 만족도를 비교한 결과, 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있었고, 사후 분석결과 시각장애 학생들과 지체부자유 학생들간의 만족도가 유의미한 차이를 보였다. 특수학교 학생의 대학진학 활성화를 위해 현재 특수학교 고등부 교육과정 운영의 시급한 개선을 위한 구체적인 제안들과 더불어 일반 중고등학교에서의 질 높은 통합교육 제공의 필요성이 논의되었다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to investigate the current status of the curriculum implementation and college entrance preparation supports in 33 special high schools for students with visual impairment, hearing impairment, and physical disabilities and the levels of teachers' and students' satisfaction and needs for quality curriculum implementation for the college entrance. The survey developed by the researchers was carned out for the study. 33 curriculum teachers and 187 teachers and 174 students selected from nationwide 33 special high schools responded the survey. The one way ANOVA was carried out to verify the differences of students' satisfaction and needs among students according to their three disability categories. The results of the research were as follow: (1) in the majority of the special schools for students with visual impairment, hearing impairment and physical disabilities, support programs for the college entrance of students were insufficient; (2) in the majority of teachers showed high levels of needs for improving the curriculum implementation for the college entrance; (3) students showed low levels of satisfaction of the current curriculum implementation and high levels of support needs for the college entrance preparation. In addition, according to students' disability types, there were statistically significant differences in the levels of students' satisfaction and support needs. Finally, the ways in which special high school students accessed the quality college preparation curriculum and support programs for the college entrance were described. Implications for the improvement needs of the curriculum implementation of special high schools and the provision of Quality inclusive education at secondary schooling were discussed in terms of promoting the college education for students with various disabilities.
