장애인 대상 자원봉사 활동이 부적응 학생의 장애에 대한 태도와 대인관계 기술에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구는 부적응학생들이 장애학생을 대상으로 한 자원봉사활동에 참여한 후 자원봉사활동을 통하여 부적응학생들의 장애태도 변화와 대인관계 기술에 긍정적 변화를 가져왔는지를 알아보는데 그 목적이 있다. 중 · 고등학교의 부적응학생 45명이 정신지체 교육기관 M학교에서 하루 8시간 1주일간의 봉사활동에 참여한 후, 봉사프로그램 실시 전후의 장애태도에 변화와 대인관계 기술의 변화률 장애태도요인분석 척도 (Disability Factor Scales)와 대인관계 변화 척도(Relationship Change Scale)를 사용하여 측정하였다. 봉사대상 학교의 현실성 있는 자원봉사 프로그램 개발과 중재자의 적극적인 역할을 통하여 장애학생을 대상으로 한 자원봉사활동은 장애태도의 긍정적인 변화와 대인관계 기술의 향상이 있다는 결과를 도출하였다. 위의 결과를 토대로 본고에서는 부적응 청소년들에게 장애인에 대한 바른 인식을 갖게 하여 장애인이 지역사회의 구성원으로 통합할 수 있는 기반의 제공과, 현재 자신이 처한 환경의 적응에 어려움을 보이지만 장차 사회에서 주도적인 역할이 기대 되는 청소년들에게 새로운 삶을 추구할 수 있는 연결고리를 제시하였다. 또한 사회 다각적인 측면에서 시도되고 있는 청소년 문제해결에 있어 특수교육분야에서의 해결점 모색의 접 근을 시도하였다.

영문 초록

The study is designed to introduce the precorrection program in a special school setting for maladjusted students and to investigate the effectiveness of the program. To investigate the effectiveness of the program, two specific research questions were set as followings; How is maladjusted students' attitude for students with disabilities changed? and how is maladjusted students' skill of inter-relationship with others changed after experiencing volunteer work with students with disabilities? Forty-five maladjusted students in middle and high school participated in volunteer work at a special school for the mentally retarded for five days, 8 hours a day. Pre- and post-test on Disability Factor Scales and Relationship Change Scale were administered and the results were analyzed. The test results on Disability Factor Scales and Relationship Change Scale showed that there were significant differences between pretest and post-test, indicating that attitude for students with disabilities and skill of inter-relationship with others changed after extensive five day volunteer work with students with disabilities. These results of significant changes indicate that intervention program is effective for maladjusted students' skills for social relationship and attitudes for disabilities. Implications for the intervention in a special schools for the maladjusted students and recommendations for further study are discussed, emphasizing on multi-approach to the solution for juvenile delinquency and its guidance in setting of special education.
