국문 초록

  본 연구는 프로젝트 접근 교수-학습 방법론의 적용을 통한 효과적인 현대미술의 이해와 아이디어 전개를 위해 수업사례 연구를 실행하고 분석함으로써 프로젝트 학습 방법론의 역할과 가능성을 고찰하기 위함이다. 미술교육에서 프로젝트 학습이 갖는 중요성과 가치는 영국을 위시한 여러 유럽국가에서 여실히 증명되고 있고 우리나라에서도 열린 교육의 영향으로 본격적으로 도입되어 유아교육과 초등학교 위주의 적용사례와 연구가 많은 편이다. 그러나 중ㆍ고등학교와 대학미술교육의 경우는 교과 교육적 프로젝트 교수-학습 방법론을 적용한 구체적인 연구사례는 미흡하다. 더욱이 현행 중ㆍ고등학교의 절대적 수업시수 부족은 심각한 중등 미술교육의 위기를 초래하고 있는 시점에서 정상적인 수업진행을 위한 미술과 교수-학습 방법론의 새로운 패러다임 설정이 시급한 실정이다. 이러한 의미에서 본 연구자는 미술 교과 교육적 측면에서 프로젝트 접근 교수-학습 방법론의 변용 가능성을 고찰하기 위해 다음과 같이 연구를 시행하고자한다. 첫째, 프로젝트 학습의 역사적 고찰을 통해 그 흐름과 내용을 정리 하고 문제해결 학습, 문제중심 학습과 자기조절학습에서 논의되는 담론들을 프로젝트 학습의 요소들과 비교 분석함으로써 미술 교과 교육에 적용할 수 있는 프로젝트 학습 방법론의 이론적 근거를 고찰한다. 둘째, 타당한 연구방향을 설정하고 동기유발의 교육학적 관점을 고찰하며 프로젝트의 주제설정, 참고 작가의 설정 방법론을 통해 효과적인 현대 미술의 해석과 아이디어 도출 방법론을 모색한다. 셋째, 프로젝트 접근 교수-학습 방법론을 적용한 수업사례를 분석하고 검토해서 향후 중ㆍ고등학교에서 수용할 수 있는 한계와 가능성을 전망 하고자 한다.

영문 초록

  This study purposes to explore the potential capability of the Project-Based Learning(PBL) method evolving the effective teaching strategies for the Korean art education. It has been examined that by bring real-life context and technology to the curriculum through a project-based learning approach, students are encouraged to become independent workers, critical thinkers and lifelong learner. Project-based learning asks students to investigate issues and topics addressing realworld problems while integrating subjects across the curriculum. Therefore, Project-based learning is a method that fosters abstract and intellectual tasks to explore complex issues.
  For the art education, the project approach refers to set a teaching strategies which enable teachers to guide students through in-depth studies of the effective interpretation and idea development. Both research and developments in art education could lead to instructional innovations designed to make classroom into a learning environment which is more responsive to the varying learning needs and interests of individual students.
  In these sense, this research concentrate on the following issues: First, to establish the authentical theory of Project-based teaching-learning method for the Korean art education, this study scrutinizes the historical background of the project method and analyzes the discourses generated from the Problem-Solving Learning, Problem-Based Learning and Self-Regulated Learning methodology. Second, this research is trying to group the effective interpretation and idea development within the scope of Post-modern art based on setting up the project topic and reference artists. Lastly, This paper is analyzing the case study and examining the potential capability of Project-Based Learning method for the proper application on the secondary art education.
