영문 초록

This study aims to search 60's novels(made a subject matter of Busan) for the mechanism of the social contradictions with which has worsened the conflict between the center and the local in the globalization age. It correct that as modern literatures tend to depend on narration for subjectifing an object than it used to. I called this subjectifing process for 'the perspective'. And I took up the position that this concentrate the experience of people into an organized representation named 'nation' as the imaged community. But these processes of modernity have its limits. Then the representation do not only force the sameness on the people but also erase the personal spacial sense. This thesis searches two novels("The lower middle class"-『So-si-min』, Lee-Ho-Chul & "The Cradle"-『Yo-ram-gee』, O-Young-Su) for these processes. These two works enough to realize these processes which confined to the loca/Busan into an organized representation. The first, "The Lower Middle Class" is the story of writer's personal experiences but re-constructed for his Fordismic desire toward the Seoul as the 'center'. This, fordismic desire made the special forms of the narrative(frame formation and the tense of retrospection etc.) of this work. The second, "The Cradle" figured the alienated Busan as entirely idle '‘home'. This way of figuration looks like a Ecole de Barbizon's(19C) which discovered 'the homeness' in the country. In conclusion, we know that these two works re-constructed Busan/the local into modern system of representation.
