특수학급 장애학생의 자기결정력이 전환성과에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

고등학교 특수학급 장애학생에게 자기결정력 검사를 실시하여 자기결정력 수준을 파악하고. 학생들이 성공적으로 취업하거나 진학할 수 있는 가능성과, 취업이나 진학이후 성공적으로 유지할 수 있는 가능성의 정도를 교사의 평정을 통해 알아보았다. 또한, 자기결정력이 이 두 가지 가능성에 얼마나 영향을 끼치는지 살펴보았다. 마지막으로, 검사실시 5개월 이후 취업이나 진학 여부와 같은 학생들의 실제 전환성과를 확인하여 자기결정력 검사점수가 실제 전환성과에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 로지스틱 회귀 분석을 통해 검토해 보았다. 장애학생들의 지능이 통제될 경우 자기결정력의 수준은 교사들이 평정한 성공적인 전환가능성과 유지가능성에 매우 유의미한 영향을 미치며, 실제 전환성과에도 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 특히 자기결정력 검사의 자율성과 심리적 역량 척도가 실제 전환성과와 유의미한 관련이 있는 것으로 나타나 자기결정력의 동기적, 태도적 요인들이 성공적인 전환에 주요 요인인 것으로 판단된다. 향후 자기결정력이 전환성과에 미치는 보다 구체적인 작용기제를 파악하기 위해서 장기적인 종단 연구와 다양한 전환성과 차원의 도입을 통한 연구 설계방식의 개선점 들이 논의되었다.

영문 초록

The present study was conducted to investigate the effects of students with disability's self-determination on the actual outcome of their transition to work and college. To be specific with the research methodology, The Korean-version Arc's Self-Determination Scale(Wehmeyer and Kelchner, 1995) were administerd to 93 students with disabilities in special class in the regular high school, and the possibility of each student's successful transition and successful maintaining was rated by their teachers. When controlling IQ scores, it could be said that Self-Determination Scale scores significantly contribute to the possibility of each student's successful transition and successful maintaining rated by their teachers, and also their actual transition outcomes. Especially the autonomy sub-scale and the psychological empowerment sub-scale scores were important in relation to the actual outcomes, so it was assumed that the motivational and attitude factors of Self-Determination play the significant roles in transition process. Furthermore, in order to analyse more specific mechanism of Self-Determination, improvement of research design which would include longitudinal investigation and multiple levels of actual transition outcomes should be needed.
