영문 초록

This study compares MSA(Modem Standard Arabic) with CA(Classical Arabic) especially in Morphological and Syntactical structures on the premise that CA has undergone considerable changes in its modem usage. The most conspicuous change in morphology is that some verb forms used in CA became extinct in MSA. The verb Forms 11, 13, 14 and 15 are not used any more in MSA The verb form 12 that means more than pure stativeness has survived in MSA but the verb that indicates pure stativeness has failed to survive in MSA. Syntactic changes are also observed in the Double Mudaf Construct and Accusatives and Passivization. Even in the past, the Double Mudaf Construct existed but its occurrences were not common compared to MSA. It is hard to say that the syntactic changes occurred in CA is permissible in the school grammar. The syntactic changes are still waiting more through study and examination. But these changes are needed to be treated in the school grammar in order to be effective and practical.
