국문 초록

한국에서 1997년 외환금융위기에 뒤이은 경제위기는 단순한 순환적 차원을 넘어서 한국경제발전모형자체의 구조적 변화를 의미하는 것으로 여겨져 왔다. 위기의 원인에 대한 여러 진단들은 따라서 새로운 발전모델의 모색과 관련되었고 그에 따라 다양한 형태의 논의들이 제시되었다. 그러나 이들 논의들은 대체로 국가와 시장과의 관계, 특히 금융 및 노동을 중심으로 한 제도주의적 분석에 치중한 인상을 준다. 이러한 제도적 측면에서의 분석이 축적조건에 관한 논의와 결합이 된다면 좀더 균형있는 논의가 가능할 것이라는 문제의식 하에 이 논문은 축적론적 관점에서 외환위기를 전후한 한국경제의 구조변화를 살펴본다. 특히 분석의 초점을 국가와 자본을 중심으로 한 내부적 모순에 맞추면서 한국경제해석에 대한 두 담론 즉, 시장/국가를 중심으로 한 논의와 수출중심적 논의의 편향성을 지적한다.

영문 초록

It has been generally thought that the Korean economic crisis followed by currency crisis in 1997 is related with not a simple business cycle, but rather its own structural transformation from the traditional economic development model Varieties in diagnosis of the causes of crisis and prescription for escape from crisis were associated with searching for a new economic development model But these discussions look more or less biased to institutional analysis centering around relation between state and market, finance and industry relation etc We believe that it would be more balanced for this institutional analysis to be combined with approach to accumulation In this critical mind, this study analyzes the structural transformation of the Korean economy in terms of accumulation before and behind currency crisis in 1997, Especially, some partialities of two main discourses in interpreting Korean economy, discussions on based on the market/state and export-led growth, will be stated comparing to interior contradiction between capital and state.
