일본의 대학 교양교육과정에 대한 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 일본의 대표적 국립대인 도쿄대학과 대표적 사립대라 할 수 있는 와세다대학의 교양 교육과정에 대하여 살펴봄으로써, 우리나라의 대학 교양교육과정 개선에 있어 시사점을 추출하고자 시도되었다. 유사한 교육적 배경 및 교육 체제를 가진 일본은 현재 어떠한 교양 교육과정의 목적을 지니고 이를 실현시키기 위하여 어떤 교육과정 내용을 선정하여 운영하고 있는가는 대학 교양에 대한 새로운 의의 모색과 의미있는 내용 구성에 있어서 활용도 높은 기초 자료를 제공해 줄 수 있을 것이다. 이를 위하여 우선 도쿄대와 와세다대의 교양교육과정의 목적을 고찰하고, 목적과 관련된 교육과정 구성 내용을 구체적으로 살펴보았으며, 교양교육과정 운영의 주체에 대하여 고찰하고 이를 토대로 현재 우리의 교양 교육과정 구성에 대한 시사점을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to provide meaningful suggestions for improving General Education in Korea by analyzing Japan's case, especially The university of Tokyo and Waseda University. The study covers the purpose of General Education, the category of subject matters, special curriculum contents such as interdisciplinary approaches or open education, degree requirements and administrational system of each universities, which are obtained by analyzing guidebooks, visiting and interviewing professionals of undergraduate and graduate school at The university of Tokyo and Waseda University. Finally, the study suggests as follows: First, there are many endeavors to provide interdisciplinary subjects focused on the real social problems. Second, there are much emphasis on relationship and communication between professors and students, also the each institutes in their University, other universities and institutes in society. Third, they try to make their universities as "real cultured society" itself through their general education.
