Northern-styled bronze daggers' that had been prevailed in the northern district of China in the late Bronze Age had a totally different locality from the bronze cultures of the inland of China. However. to classify the culture with the bronze dagger only is troublesome since these northern-styled bronze daggers were produced and distributed in the significantly wide region. Therefore. we should take earthenware and tomb etc. account as well as the characteristic bronze remains starting with the bronze dagger. Out of the three cultures which have been found in the northeastern district of' China. the bronze dagger can be represented in designating the culture with the sign remains since the bronze dagger forms the most symbolical and vital factors of remains. The first is Dong Nan Gou-styled bronze dagger culture of the north of Hebei province, of which Dong Nan Gou styled bronze dagger. Bronze dagger with a round ring attached to the handle. slender bronze ax. Jar with two ring handles. Jar with a short neck. animal figure decorated tablet and stone lined tomb. pit tomb. stone coffin and wooden chamber tomb of' stones tiled on the ground, mound consist of its central remains factors. The second is Gongbyeong-styled bronze dagger culture (Upper XiaJiaDian culture) of the southeastern district of Inner Mongolia. Having Gongbyeong-styled bronze dagger (bronze dagger with a hollow handle). bronze ax with a blade curved like a hook. Willow-shaped bronze arrowhead. bronze hand knife with teeth-shaped projection in the handle. longish bronze bell. bronze mirror with a knob and no pattern. Ding with round vertical handles. Li with that handles, and stone lined tomb as its central remains factors and the third is Mandolin-shaped bronze dagger culture (ShiErTaiYingZhi culture) of western Liao-Ning province. having mandolin-shaped bronze dagger, T -shaped handle of bronze dagger. Utensil (Geombyeongdusik) attached to the head of T -shaped handle of bronze dagger, Mandolin-shaped bronze spear, fan-shaped bronze ax. bronze-mirror with geometric pattern engraved and many knobs (string holders), YuanTaiZhi-styled earthenware, black polished earthenware (DongLingGang-styled earthenware). stone lined tomb as its central remains factors. The three bronze dagger cultures get near to the center as well as the spaces on the border of Y-shaped topology divided by QiLaoTu mountain range and NuRuErHu mountain range etc. From this reason, a close connection had been established at an early stage and consequently the remains factors showing the contemporary of all three bronze dagger cultures had been coexisted. On this ground, the connection of three bronze dagger cultures is fractioned into live periods as follows; In the first connection period (Early 9th C. BC - Middle 9th C. BC) and the second period, Dong Nan Gou-styled bronze dagger culture and Mandolin-shaped bronze dagger culture assumed an aspect of connecting separately with Gongbyeong-styled bronze dagger culture as a vertax. In the third connection period, as the centrality of Gongbyeong-styled bronze dagger culture declined. Dong Nan Gou-styled bronze dagger culture and Mandolin-shaped bronze dagger culture appeared to be connected, and in the fourth connection period (6th C. BC - 5th C. BC), the remains factors of Dong Nan Gou-styled bronze dagger culture were diffused throughout the two cultures. Finally in the til1h connection period (4th C. BC), Gongbyeong-styled and Dong Nan Gou-styled bronze dagger cultures became extinct and Van dynasty remains showed a loose connection with Mandolin-shaped bronze dagger culture. There bronze dagger cultures, as the concepts compared to China or bronze age culture, consist of non-Chinese culture of the northeastern district of China. Experiencing the competitive interaction with regard to the limited resources and the trades with the neighboring districts, these bronze age cultures formed a huge trade unit by itself: on another side
