국문 초록

본 연구는 타행동차별강화 기반의 토큰경제시스템이 특수학교 전공과 발달장애학생의 사회적 의사소통 기술습득에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위해 실시되었다. 본 연구에 참여한 학생은 특수학교 전공과 1학년에 재학 중인 발달장애 남학생으로 교사 또는 또래를 향한 심각한 공격행동 및 불순응행동을 보였다. 본 연구는 학생의 연령과 공격행동의 강도를 고려하여 기초선 수집 없는 사례연구로 실시되었으며, 수용언어(교사의 지시에 순응하기), 표현언어(요구하기), 사회성 기술(차례 바꾸기, 3단계 지시 따르기) 관련 과제 제시에 대한 반응률을 측정하였다. 연구 결과 대상 학생은 중재 중 수용언어, 표현언어, 사회성 기술 모두에서 긍정적인 개선을 보였다. 이러한 연구 결과를 통하여 타행동차별강화 기반의 토큰경제시스템이 성인기 발달장애학생의 사회적 의사소통 기술 증진에 효과적이라는 것을 알 수 있었다. 또한, 원하는 강화물을 얻기 위해 토큰을 모으는 과정에서 대상 학생이 제시된 과제 뿐 아니라 다양한 활동에 참여하며, 교사의 지시 따르기에 순응적인 행동을 형성하는데도 도움을 주었다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of a differential reinforcement of other behavior(DRO)-based token economy system on the social communication skills of a student with developmental disabilities enrolled in a post-high school specialized vocational program. The participant was a male student with Down Syndrome who exhibited severe aggressive and noncompliant behaviors towards his peers and teachers. Considering the severity of the student’s behavior, a case study design was employed without a baseline phase. The dependent variables included receptive behaviors(e,g., following teachers’ directions), expressive behaviors(e.g., making requests), and social skills(e.g., turn-taking, following three-step directions). The results of this study suggest that the participant demonstrated improvements in the targeted behaviors. Additionally, this study indicates that a DRO-based token economy system is effective in developing the social communication skills of an adult with developmental disabilities. Furthermore, during the process of collecting tokens, the participant increasingly engaged in classroom activities followed teachers’ directions more frequently.
