국내 중학교에서의 긍정적 행동지원 연구 동향 및 중재 효과 분석

국문 초록

본 연구는 국내 중학교에서의 긍정적 행동지원(Positive Behavior Support; PBS)의 현황을 파악하고 개선점을 알아보기 위해 2010년 이후 국내에서 발표된 긍정적 행동지원 관련 실천 연구의 정량적 검토를 실시되었다. 첫째, 중학교에서의 긍정적 행동지원 중재 연구의 동향 및 특성을 알아보기 위해 분석대상 논문의 학술지 및 출판연도별 연구현황, 대상자의 성별과 장애유형, 중재 환경 및 중재방법, 연구설계, 종속변수, 신뢰도, 사회적 타당도, 중재충실도를 알아보았다. 둘째, 개별 연구에 나타난 중재의 효과크기를 알아보기 위해 비중복비율(PND)을 확인하였으며, 이러한 PND가 관련 변인들에 따라 유의미한 차이가 있는지를 알아보았다. 연구 결과, 국내 중학교에서의 긍정적 행동지원은 주로 지적장애 및 자폐성장애 학생들을 대상으로 특수교육기관에서 주로 이루어지고 있었으며, 학교 차원의 긍정적 행동지원 보다는 개별 수준에서 단일대상연구방법론을 이용하여 연구가 이루어지고 있었고, 신뢰도, 사회적 타당도, 중재 충실도 등의 연구의 질은 70% 이상의 연구에서 확보되고 있었다. 전체의 평균 PND는 94.5%로 높은 수준이었으며 관련 변인에 따른 PND의 유의미한 차이는 나타나지 않았다.

영문 초록

This study was conducted to understand the current status and improvements of Positive Behavior Support (PBS) in South Korean middle schools and to quantitatively review the practice research related to PBS published in the country since 2010. First, to explore the trends and characteristics of PBS interventions in middle schools, the research analyzed academic journals and publication years, the gender and type of disability of subjects, intervention environments and methods, research designs, dependent variables, reliability, social validity, and intervention fidelity. Second, the effect size of the interventions in individual studies was examined by checking the percentage of non-overlapping data (PND), and whether significant differences in PND existed based on related variables was also investigated. The results showed that PBS in South Korean middle schools is primarily conducted in special education institutions targeting students with intellectual and autism spectrum disorders, and the studies are often carried out at the individual level using single-subject research methodologies rather than at the school level. The quality of research, including reliability, social validity, and intervention fidelity, was secured in over 70% of the studies. The overall average PND was 94.5%, indicating a high level of effectiveness, and no significant differences in PND were found based on related variables. Suggestions for future research were proposed based on these findings.
