특수교육학개론 수업에 참여한 예비유아교사의 장애인식 개선에 관한 연구 -반성적 저널 쓰기와 소그룹 토의 수업을 중심으로-

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 반성적 저널 쓰기와 소그룹 토의를 중심으로 한 특수교육학개론 수업에서 예비유아교사의 장애인식 개선에 관한 교육적 의미를 탐색하는 데 있다. 본 연구의 참여자는 특수교육학개론을 수강하는 예비유아교사 27명이다. 수업을 진행하는 동안 소그룹 토의 활동과 반성적 저널 쓰기는 주차 별 학습 주제를 기반으로 하였고, 면담, 토의 과제 수행자료, 연구자일지, 수업 결과물 등의 자료를 수집하였다. 이에 대한 질적 분석을 바탕으로 예비유아교사들에게 나타난 장애인식 개선에 대한 교육적 의미를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 장애아 지도에 대한 두려움 대신 장애아에 대한 이해와 관심을 가지게 되었다. 둘째, 장애를 지원하는 교사와 보호자의 어려움을 공감하게 되었다. 셋째, 예비유아교사로서 장애아와 함께 배움의 주체로 성장할 수 있다는 인식을 갖게 되었다. 넷째, 장애 체험교육의 필요성을 인식하고 공동체 의식을 함양하게 되었다. 본 연구 결과를 바탕으로 반성적 성찰 및 소그룹 토의를 통한 교수-학습 과정은 장애인식 개선 교육에 보다 긍정적인 효과가 있음을 시사한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is The purpose of this study is to identify explore the educational meaning of improving disability awareness for pre-service early childhood teachers and to provide insights into the educational significance of reflective journal writing and small group discussions, as well as related class design. Participants in this study consisted of 27 pre-service early childhood teachers enrolled in the course. During the class, reflective journal writing and small group discussions were conducted before and after class, based on weekly learning topics. Data were collected, including reflective journals, in-depth interviews, discussion task performance data, researcher logs, and class outcomes. Based on the qualitative analysis, the educational significance of improving disability awareness for pre-service early childhood teachers can be summarized as follows. First, the meaning of education that transforms the fear of teaching children with disabilities into understanding and knowledge about them. Second, the meaning of education that fosters empathy for the challenges faced by children with disabilities, their teachers, and their parents. Third, the meaning of education that fosters mutual growth among teachers and children with disabilities. Fourth, the need for disability experience education was recognized and a sense of community was cultivated. The study provides that the collaborative process of reflective thinking and discussion in the teaching-learning process has a more positive impact on improving disability awareness.
