고등학교 미술 교과서 분석을 통한 디지털 리터러시 교육 활성화 방안 연구

국문 초록

디지털 대전환 시대가 도래하며 교육에서도 디지털 매체의 적극적인 활용이 이루어지고 있다. 최근에는 단순히 디지털 기술을 활용하는 능력을 넘어 디지털 환경에 적응하고 주체적으로 살아갈 수 있는 디지털 리터러시 역량이 중요시되고 있다. 미술교육은 전통적으로 시각문화 미술교육(VCAE)을 기반으로 다양한 매체를 교수·학습에 활용하는 방안을 연구해왔으며, 이에 디지털 리터러시 교육을 활성화하기 위한 적합한 교과로 주목받고 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 현행 2015 개정 고등학교 미술 교과서 10종을 분석하고 현직 고등학교 미술 교사 5인과 심층 인터뷰를 통해 미술교육에서 디지털 리터러시 교육 활성화 방안을 제안한다. 연구 결과, 디지털 리터러시는 현대 사회에서 필수적인 역량으로, 미술교육에서도 이를 효과적으로 교육하기 위해 교과서의 개선, 교사의 인식변화 등이 필요함을 확인하였다. 교과서 분석에서 디지털 리터러시 역량 함양을 위한 학습활동과 도판은 표현영역에 치중되어 체험과 감상영역에서 디지털 리터러시의 적용을 모색할 필요성이 있었다. 또한, 교육 현장에서 디지털 리터러시를 효과적으로 교육하기 위해 교사들의 디지털 역량을 함양할 수 있는 다양한 연수와 직무 동기를 높일 수 있는 제도적 지원이 필요하다는 점을 확인하였다. 본 연구를 바탕으로 지속적 노력을 통해 디지털 대전환 시대에 적합한 미술교육을 실행하여 미술 교과에서 디지털 리터러시 교육이 활성화될 수 있을 것이다. 본 연구는 2022 개정 교육과정 전면적인 도입에 앞서 미술교육에서 디지털 리터러시 교육의 방향성을 제시하는 데 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

In the era of digital transformation, digital media are being actively utilised in education. Recently, digital literacy, which is not just the ability to utilise digital technology, but also the ability to adapt to the digital environment and live independently, has been emphasised. Art education has traditionally studied how to use various media for teaching and learning based on visual culture and art education(VCAE), and it is attracting attention as a suitable subject to activate digital literacy education. Therefore, this study analyses 10 current 2015 revised high school art textbooks and suggests ways to promote digital literacy education in art education through in-depth interviews with five in-service high school art teachers. The results of the study confirm that digital literacy is an essential competence in modern society, and that it requires textbook improvement, teacher awareness change, and policy and institutional support to be effectively taught in art education. Textbooks should focus on the concept of digital literacy in the expressive domain and explore the application of digital literacy in the experiential and appreciative domain, and institutional support is needed to provide teachers with various training and motivation to develop their digital competencies in order to effectively teach digital literacy in the classroom. Based on the above, continued efforts will enable the implementation of art education suitable for the digital transformation era and the promotion of digital literacy education in art curricula. This study is significant in providing a direction for digital literacy education before the full introduction of the 2022 revised curriculum.
