국문 초록

본 연구는 2022 개정 미술과 교육과정에서 신설된 정체성 역량의 의미를 디지털 시대에 요구되는 개인적, 사회적 의미로서 탐색하였다. 또한 디지털 매체를 특징으로 하는 디지털 미술의 주제로서 정체성의 의미와 미술교육에서 정체성에 대한 비판적 접근을 살펴보았다. 이를 위해 정체성에 영향을 미치는 생성형 인공지능에서 다수의 데이터를 차지하는 특정 인종과 편견을 가진 이미지에 대해서 비판적 분석을 포함한 교육적 접근을 모색하였다. 구체적으로 연구자는 미적 체험, 표현, 감상에서 디지털 매체를 활용하는 교수학습 방안을 제안하였다. 학생들이 향유하는 콘텐츠를 분석하고, 자신의 데이터 활용 습관을 시각적으로 표현하는 활동과 아울러 디지털 매체를 활용하는 동시대 미술 작품을 감상하는 활동을 소개하였다. 이러한 미술 활동을 통해 학생들은 자신의 디지털 활동을 성찰하고, 나아가 사회적, 문화적 의미로서의 정체성을 좀더 깊이있게 탐색할 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

This study explored the significance of newly introduced competency in the revised 2022 art education curriculum, identity, as demanded by the digital age, both personally and socially. It also examined critical approaches to identity in art education as a theme of digital art characterized by digital media. For instance, educational approaches including critical analysis are necessary for images produced by generative artificial intelligence that may perpetuate biases towards specific races and prejudices. The researcher proposed teaching and learning strategies using digital media in aesthetic experiences, expression, and appreciation, which is the three major domain in Korea national art education curriculum. Activities introduced included analyzing digital content consumed by students and visually expressing their habits of data usage, as well as appreciating contemporary art using digital media. Through such art activities, students can reflect on their digital activities and further explore identity in deeper societal and cultural contexts.
