시각장애학교 교사의 시각중복장애 학생 의사소통 경험에 대한 질적 연구

국문 초록

연구 목적: 이 연구에서는 비구어 의사소통 단계 시각중복장애 학생의 의사소통 교육 실천에 관한 시사점을 얻고자 하였다. 연구 방법: 시각장애학교에 근무하는 교사 5명을 대상으로 면담을 실시하였다. 연구 결과: 첫째, 시각장애중복장애 학생의 모든 행위를 의사소통으로 인식하고, 학생 주변인의 중요성을 강조했다. 둘째, 시각중복장애 학생의 의사소통을 교사가 거부는 적극적인 자기표현과 수용은 다음을 계획할 수 있는 통로, 사회적 상호작용은 사회적 유대의 구축이라는 해석을 교육과정에 적용하고 있었다. 셋째, 시각중복장애 학생에게 낯선 상황을 이해시키기가 어려웠으며, 교사로서 교육적 중재의 범주를 고민하고 있었다. 넷째, 교사들은 시각중복장애 학생의 의미해석이 아닌 상호작용을 위한 다양한 교육적 중재를 시도했다. 결론: 이 연구는 향후 시각중복장애 학생의 의사소통 교육에 기초 자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

Purpose: This study aimed to obtain insights into the practices of education concerning communication with visually impaired students with Multiple Visual Impairment (MVI) at pre-verbal communication stages. Method: Interviews were conducted with five teachers working in schools for the visually impaired. Results: Firstly, teachers recognized all actions of visually impaired students with MVI as forms of communication and acknowledged the importance of individuals surrounding the students. Secondly, teachers applied interpretations such as active self-expression for refusal, creating pathways for future planning for accommodation, and establishing social bonds for social interaction in the educational process concerning communication with visually impaired students with MVI. Thirdly, despite efforts, it was challenging to foster understanding of unfamiliar situations for visually impaired students with MVI, leading to contemplations on the scope of educational mediation as teachers. Fourthly, teachers attempted various activities not solely aimed at communication but for fostering interaction with visually impaired students with MVI. Conclusion: This research can serve as foundational material for enhancing communication with visually impaired students with MVI in the future.
