학습자 읽기 진단에 따른 기초 읽기 지도 사례 연구: 지속적 교육 대상자로서의 초등학생을 중심으로

국문 초록

이 연구는 지속적 교육 대상자로서의 초등학생을 중심으로 학습자의 읽기 수준 및 학습 환경을 진단하고 이에 적합한 텍스트의 선정과 함께 구체적인 읽기 지도 방안을 설계하여 지도한 사례를 제시하여 궁극적으로 학습자의 학업 성취도를 향상시키는 데 기여하고 기초 읽기 역량을 개선할 수 있도록 하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 기초 읽기와 사고 수준의 관계를 교육적 관점에서 점검하고 학습자의 읽기 수준을 진단하기 위한 검사의 내용과 지도 방안을 제안하였다. 이와 함께 학습자의 읽기 수준에 따른 텍스트 자료를 선정하고 이를 바탕으로 한 학습자의 지도 활동 사례 및 결과를 제시하여 실제 읽기 학습자의 수준별 자료와 지도 결과를 확인하였다. 그에 따라 본 연구에서는 구체적인 연구 결과물로 초등 학습자의 읽기 수준 진단 검사 질문지 및 텍스트 목록의 구성, 읽기 지도 활동에 따른 수준별 학습자의 사례를 구체적으로 제시하였다. 이 연구는 학령기에 놓인 모든 학습자의 학업 성취를 예측할 수 있는 척도 중의 하나가 읽기 역량이라는 기본 전제 하에 다른 교과목과도 연계가 되는 읽기의 훈련이 일상생활에서 지속적으로 습관화되는 것이 필요하다는 것에서 출발하였으며, 결과적으로도 그 사실을 확인할 수 있었다. 학습의 기반이 되는 기초 읽기가 제대로 준비되어 있지 않으면 학습자의 지식 기반이 빈약하여 기초 학력 저하와 함께 학교생활에서도 부차적인 문제를 수반할 수 있다. 이에 주목하여 설계한 본 연구의 수준별 텍스트 자료와 실제적인 수업 방안 및 구체적인 지도 사례가 일부분이나마 이러한 실마리를 풀어줄 것으로 기대한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to design a guidance plan including diagnosis and guidance data to improve basic reading skills for elementary school students who are subject to continuous education. To this end, the relationship between basic reading and thinking level was examined from an educational perspective, and the contents of the test and guidance plan were proposed to diagnose the learner's reading level. In addition, text data according to the learner's reading level were selected, and examples and results of learner instructional activities were presented based on this to confirm the actual reading learner's level data and instructional results. Accordingly, this study presented examples of learners by level according to the composition of the reading level diagnostic test questionnaire and text list of elementary school learners, and reading instruction activities as specific research results. The basic premise of this study was that reading competency is one of the measures that can predict the academic achievement of all learners in school age, so it was necessary to continuously make reading training, which is linked to other subjects, a habit in everyday life, and as a result, it was confirmed. If the basic reading, which is the basis of learning, is not properly prepared, the learner's knowledge base is poor, which can lead to secondary problems in school life as well as a decline in basic academic ability. It is expected that the text data and specific guidance plans for each level of this study designed with this in mind will partially solve this clue.
