국악관현악단 활동이 중학생의 협동심과 음악적 자기효능감에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구는 국악관현악단 활동이 중학생의 협동심과 음악적 자기효능감에 미치는 영향을 알아보는 것에 있다. 이를 위해 국악관현악단 활동이 이루어지고 있는 중학교 3곳을 대상으로 사전-사후 설문지와 포커스 그룹 면담을 진행하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 국악관현악단 활동은 중학생들의 전반적인 협동심과 집단촉진, 팔로워십, 갈등문제해결의 3가지 하위 요소에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 특히 협동심의 하위 요소 중 집단촉진과 갈등문제해결의 요소가 학생들이 주체적으로 연습 과정에 참여하면서 노력하는 과정과 밀접한 관련이 있다는 점이 나타났다. 둘째, 국악관현악단에 참여한 학생들의 팔로워십 역량은 증가하였지만, 면담 분석 결과 집단의 목표가 명확하게 드러나지 않은 채 국악관현악단이 막연한 발전을 위해서 노력하는 모습으로 주로 나타났다. 셋째, 국악관현악단 활동은 음악적 자기효능감의 과제수준선호, 자기조절효능감, 자신감 세 가지 영역에 모두 긍정적인 영향을 주었다. 특히 학생들은 실력이 향상되고 작은 목표를 성취하는 과정을 통해 과제수준선호와 자신감 영역에서 긍정적인 영향을 받았다. 넷째, 음악적 자기효능감의 하위 요소 중 자기조절효능감은 협동심과 밀접한 연관성을 가지고 있다.

영문 초록

This study aims to investigate the impact of Korean traditional orchestra activities on middle school students' cooperation and musical self-efficacy. To achieve this, a pre-post survey and focus group interviews were conducted in three middle schools where Korean traditional music orchestra activities were taking place. The results of this study were as follows. First, Korean traditional orchestra activities positively influenced middle school students' overall cooperation, including three sub-factors such as group promotion, followership, and conflict problem-solving. Particularly, it was observed that the elements of group promotion and conflict problem-solving within cooperation were closely related to students actively and independently participating in the practice proces. Second, followership skills of students participating in Korean traditional orchestra increased; however, the interview analysis revealed that the group's goals were not clearly defined. Third, Korean traditional orchestra activities had a positive impact on students' musical self-efficacy in terms of task preference, self-regulation efficacy, and confidence. Students particularly experienced positive influences in the areas of task preference and confidence through improving their skills and achieving small goals. Fourth, among the sub-factors of musical self-efficacy, self-regulation efficacy showed a close association with cooperation.
