국립현대미술관 시니어교육의 활성화 방안 연구 : 세대통합과 융합교육의 가능성 모색

국문 초록

전 세계적으로 노인 인구가 급격히 증가하고 있고 미술관을 주로 이용하는 관람객 중 고령자의 비율이 점점 높아지고 있다. 이에 대응하기 위해서는, 미술관이나 박물관에서도 평생학습기관으로서의 사회적 역할을 고려하면서 시니어교육에 대한 비중을 높이고 중장기적인 발전계획을 마련할 필요가 있다. 본 연구는 시니어 미술관교육의 확대 방향성을 위한 다층위적 검토를 통해 체계화된 시니어 대상 미술관교육 시스템 구축에 기여할 것을 목적으로 한다. 아울러 본 연구에서는 노인이라는 용어 대신 ‘활동적이고 적극적으로 인생을 살아가는 나이든 사람’이란 의미를 함축하는 ‘시니어’라는 용어를 사용한다. 이를 위해서 2021년 7월 국립현대미술관 학예사 6인을 대상으로 FGI(Focus Group Interview)를 시행하였으며 인터뷰는 120분 정도 소요되었다. 연구결과는 세 가지 관점에서 분석되었고 다음과 같이 제시될 수 있다. 첫째, 시니어 학습자 관점에서는 심층적인 시니어 학습자 분석, 시니어를 배려하는 교육요건 개선, 시니어의 접근성을 높이기 위한 노력이 필요하다. 둘째, 세대통합적 관점에서는 세대통합의 공론장으로서의 미술관교육의 환원과 선순환, 프로그램 콘텐츠별 전문화·세분화가 필요하다. 셋째, 융합교육적 관점에서는 전문 기관 협력 모델·특화 프로그램의 개발, 디지털 융합 컨텐츠 개발이 필요하다.

영문 초록

The elderly population is rapidly increasing worldwide, and the proportion of senior among visitors to art museums is increasing. The National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art needs to increase the emphasis on senior education and prepare a mid- to long-term development plan. The purpose of this study is to contribute to the establishment of a systematic art museum education system for seniors through a multi-level review of the direction of expansion of senior art museum education. For the purpose of the study, a Focus Group Interview (FGI) was conducted with six curators at the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art on July 28, 2021, and the interview took approximately 120 minutes. The research results were analyzed from three perspectives and can be presented as follows. First, from the perspective of senior learners, efforts are needed to analyze senior learners in depth, improve educational requirements that are considerate of seniors, and increase accessibility for seniors. Second, from a generational integration perspective, there is a need for an art museum as a place of merit for generational integration, a return and virtuous cycle in education, and specialization and segmentation by program content. Third, from a convergence education perspective, it is necessary to develop cooperation models and specialized programs for professional institutions and develop digital convergence content.
