국문 초록

본 연구는 기독교인의 내적 종교성과 행복감 간의 관계를 확인하고, 그 관계를 감사성향, 전념 및 종교적 안녕감이 매개하는지를 검증하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 참여자는 기독교인 312명(남:151명, 여:161명)이었으며, 그들의 연령은 20세에서 69세까지 분포되어 있었다. 다중매개모형은 PROCESS Macro 3.5 모델4로 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 기독교인의 내적 종교성, 감사성향, 전념, 종교적 안녕감 및 행복감 간에는 정적 상관이 있었다. 기독교인의 행복감을 예측하는 다중회귀모형에서는 내적 종교성, 감사성향, 전념 및 종교적 안녕감 모두 유의한 예언변인이었으며, 이 네 변인이 행복감을 56.3%나 설명하고 있었다. 단계적 회귀분석에서는 종교적 안녕감이 기독교인의 행복감에 대한 가장 결정적인 예측원이었다. 다중매개모형에서는 감사성향, 전념 및 종교적 안녕감을 거치는 간접경로 모두가 유의하였으며, 이 모형에서 내적 종교성에서 행복감으로 가는 직접 경로는 부적으로 유의하였다. 이런 결과는 감사성향, 전념 및 종교적 안녕감을 통하지 않고는 행복감에 대한 기독교인의 내적 종교성의 영향력은 부정적이라는 것을 시사한다.

영문 초록

This study aimed to identify the relationship between Christians’ intrinsic religiosity and happiness and examine the multiple mediating effects of grateful disposition, commitment, and religious wellbeing on this relationship. The participants were 312 Christian Koreans (151 men and 161 women) with ages ranging from 20 to 69 years. PROCESS Macro 3.5 Model 4 was used to analyze the multiple mediating effects. Correlation analysis revealed positive correlations between intrinsic religiosity, grateful disposition, commitment, religious wellbeing, and happiness. In a multiple regression model for Christians’ happiness, intrinsic religiosity, grateful disposition, commitment, and religious wellbeing were significant predictors, and these four variables accounted for 56.3% of variance in happiness. In the stepwise regression model, religious wellbeing was the most important determinant of Christians’ happiness. In the multiple mediating model, all indirect pathways through grateful disposition, commitment, and religious wellbeing were significant. In this model, the direct pathway from intrinsic religiosity to happiness was negative. These findings suggest that Christians' intrinsic religiosity negatively influences happiness, but not through these three variables.
